As a result of the high price (which is excessive), this should have included the screws you need for the 2x6 support boards that must be screwed into the ceiling studs. It takes time to properly install it. As far as practicality is concerned, I can lift or lower this thing with one arm, raising or lowering a kayak weighing 90 lbs with paddles and accessories, so once I have it installed, it is great. Please note that if you are not going to lower this onto a car and instead are going to the floor, then you may not have enough room to adjust the straps higher, and it may need to be lowered only part of the way to the floor (acceptable for saw horses). It is presented in the picture that if the blue distance is more than the red distance, the kayak will not fall all the way to the ground. Due to the complexity and cost of installing it, I will dock it one star.

A good quality set of components with very clear instruction on how to install.
