Questions & Answers

Can a pistol be fitted into this case?

It is true. Among the items there I keep one hand gun, one magazine, and two boxes of ammunition A small grenade would probably fit in the space left, but I do not have one with me right now

Does it have a fireproof seal?

It was very nice to receive mine, and I am very happy to have It is very solid and well built, but it is not fireproof. Now that I think about it, I'm putting "Fireproof" in quotes, since this safe does appear to be built very solidly, and I started wondering what the term As a result, I did some research. The first thing you need to remember is that, provided there is enough heat, NOTHING IS FIREPROOF and everything will burn. It is the case that words like "fireproof" and "fire resistant" are bandied about with these kinds of things. There is no such thing as a fireproof material, and everything has varying levels of fire resistance. The question is "Does it have good fire resistance?"? Underwriters Laboratory (UL), the independent, non-profit test laboratory Various degrees of heat are used in the testing standards required by a company that provides fire ratings for filing cabinets and safes. A UL Class 350 One Hour Rating, which means that if there was a fire, the file cabinet or safe would protect the paper documents inside in temperatures reaching 1700 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour, is one of the more common ratings. I can't imagine how hot it would be at 1700 degrees. In the case of documents and items that cannot be replaced, this would be important to consider. The only thing else you need to worry about if your house is affected by a fire that reaches 1700 degrees is what is The safe would need to be cut open even if the papers survived. This is because even if the papers were salvaged, electronic controls and wires would almost certainly be destroyed.

In what dimensions does the faceplate (front) measure?

There are 13 holes in the faceplate Three-quarters of an inch tall by 16 inches long The width of 1/2"

Does the safe have to have a key in order to open?

The digital combination of this safe, as well as the key, are needed to open it. It is possible to open the door only with the key because there are no handles.

This is a very sturdy material
5/5

Safety is a major concern in this safe. The door is solid and sturdy, and it would be very difficult or even impossible to pry open. To remove it from the wall studs, you would have to cut it out from the material. There is no problem changing the code since it works. It's really nice that you have to enter a key and code when you submit the form. I didn't realize there was an entire magnetic structure inside and out that can hold items on both sides for maximum space optimization. The interior ledge/shelf of the refrigerator can also be removed easily as it lifts out. I have photos showing the in and out steps. In terms of the installation, I have 16" on center wood studs, so I ended up screwing down 2" x 10" x 1/2" plywood to one stud, which gave me a tight In the absence of the shim, there was about 3/4" gap between the safe and the studs. I used 4 (four) 5/16" x 2" hex wood screws, each with a By using washers of 5 inches, I can properly torque the screws into the studs and distribute the pressure evenly. The fasteners that I used are heavy duty, so I would recommend that. Using a hex head allowed me to use a socket wrench, which is crucial since you don't have much room for a drill and screw driver. Without the perfect pilot holes you will never be able to screw into the studs. My first step was to drill pilot holes and then sockets. With a socket on the hinged side, it has been difficult to install on the hinged side - certainly slower than anyone anticipated. As well as the extender, you need a 2" adapter. It will work if you stay patient and keep cranking.

I am extremely happy with how this turned out. Photos of the cuts were included so that you could see how not everything has to be perfect when cutting. I had a hand saw and box cutter at my disposal. So long as you don't really mess it up, it will hide the ugly hole as long as the exterior lip is one inch thick on all sides. The ring of motion activated LEDs by SingHong - can be found here . Magnetic light that uses a USB charger and is multi-colored and rechargeable. The magnetic parts are built into the safe so it just needs to be affixed to the roof. The light is available on Amazon for around 25 dollars for two of them. This is a very useful.

The Gardall Wall Safe is a great product
5/5

After buying a much less expensive safe that didn't work, I had to purchase a more expensive safe. It took me a long time to realize the distributor didn't want it back, so I discarded it, and I now have a refund. Because of this, I was more cautious and desired to find a more robust It has a heavy duty construction, and it is well built. Powder coating appears to have been used on the exterior and interior. As far as installation of the safe was concerned, I think I spent more time deciding where to put it than actually doing it. During my installation, I took about an hour and it was fairly intuitive. There are four holes from the inside that I could access. In order to mount the safe into the gap between the studs once you have accessed the interior, you have to mark and drill guide holes into the adjacent studs. I used sturdy lag bolts and a socket wrench to drive the bolts into the studs. Located to the left of the bolt holes are two accessible bolt holes from the inside. There are two holes on the hinge side that require an extension on the socket set to drive the bolts in place. Otherwise, driving the hinge side bolts would be much more difficult.

The instructions for replacing the electronic access code are straightforward. The batteries that run the electronics and other parts of the vehicle are in the interior, so I was concerned they might go I don't mind at all. supplies a battery pack and an exterior connector that allow you to activate the electronic mechanism, so you are able to replace the battery in case of a problem if you do not have a routine maintenance schedule in place to prevent it. In addition, it is nice to have both an electronic keypad and a key. You get a safe that is easy to work with but that provides security.

The quality of your product is directly proportional to the price you pay
5/5

It is more expensive than other wall safes available on the market, but it is a beast! This thing is well made, with heavy gauge steel, strong hinge points within the safe, and a double security system of both an electronic code and a key. When you have the right tools, it's easy to install the door, as long as you get into the tight space on the hinge side of a There is no problem with the operation, and the connection point to the external battery pack is exceptional if the internal batteries suddenly stop working. My experience with the purchase has been positive, and I was well pleased with the value received for the extra cost.

The unit was well built and was easy to install
5/5

This wall safe is solid and three-bolt. To open it, you need a combination of a key and a code. It fits snugly between studs that are set at 16" canters and takes less than an hour to install. It takes no time at all to drill pilot holes, place the safe in the hole, and lag screw it Your new code is set after you place the batteries in the unit.

It would be useful to have an installation guide
5/5

There are no instructions on how to install it, and I wish it did. There is a high recommendation from a friend. A mission to install it has been given to me.
