They are light weight, comfortable, and very well padded. I've tried a lot of work gloves, and this is probably the best out there. I used it for welding, grinding, general assembly, and it was pretty much the best. Most of the time, I need new glasses after 3 to 4 weeks. This glove is far superior to our farm gloves at the office. There is really something to be said for the little things that make work a little more enjoyable.
