Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how long this lanyard is retracted? The drawing is too small to read the dimensions. ?

Kenny, the dimensions on the drawing state that "each lanyard is 33 inches long with 24 inches of very light force elongation for optimal reach without pulling on your tool". You can try this out to see if it helps.

In order to use these with a cordless grinder and a cordless makita multi tool, I have high expectations. Are you sure these are going to Is there anything I can do to help?

There should be an adapter available, I use the 3 and the for wrenches. The weight of the hammer is 5 pounds. Each person is limited to 15 pounds. Hopefully it will be a good fit.

Do you think a 2' or 6' lanyard is better? What are the pros and cons of each?

2 ft. grate is made out of aluminum. Whenever possible, work on a project that is close to your heart. I don't want you to reach. 6 ft. pole is the only obstacle in the way. a great tool to work out of a lift, as you have the slack to switch hands with your tools as necessary.

How and from what does the snap clip come Is your laptop made of aluminum or steel?

Thanks for asking. I'll get right on it. We used a test tower to measure the forces that the lanyard will experience in real life with a test force of 1028 points per second. We produced a very high-quality lanyard using that tower. Dropping a weight of 30 pounds and extending the lanyard twice its long measurement test was twice as effective as the 15 pound lanyard rating. During this test, the lanyard faces over 1100 pounds of force applied to it. Because of this, we opted to use stainless steel carabiners. Comparing aluminum and steel carabiniers is pointless because the weight difference is minimal and the strength difference is enormous. The materials used, the sewing pattern, and the specially designed attachment webbing all met the requirements specified in this rigid test regime. It is a good idea to be cautious of lanyards with a higher rating as they may support a tool's Keep in mind that falling tools must also be stopped.

A good value for the money
4/5

The quality is not all that great, but we can make it better. There is nothing spectacular about these lanyards, but they are decent. There is a great value in them, so do not hesitate to get them. They would be great if they were configured this way, and I would be willing to pay a higher price (or lower) for them if they were As a tower climber, I climb tall buildings. A safety harness weighs far more than a sport climbing harness does. If I had my choice between either a lightweight aluminum carabiner for a few more dollars, or a cheaper one without a carabiner, I would prefer the lighter one. As for me, I will provide mine. For $9, I found a 3 pack of wire gate carabiners (XTEK). They are rated at 23Kn (5171 lbs) and weigh 1 ounce. During the sewing process for the loop for the carabiner, the stitching was neatly done. appears to be of good quality, however the elastic seems to be less durable. It will be interesting to see how well it holds up over time. The shock cord is not very elastic. I would pay more for a better shock cord. The tool attachment end is adequate. Despite a few minor issues, the main loop seems to be well sewn. It appears that the loop attachment for the tool is sturdy, until you look closer. In the process of splitting the primary loop, the ends are formed that fit through the larger It is obvious that this is one of the weak points. This pair would probably be able to handle a higher working load limit because they have a better tool loop than In addition to the rectangular shape, the cord locking mechanism is large enough that it can easily be used while wearing gloves. Due to the elimination of the spring, harsh environments without corrosion are not a problem. It can still be pulled through the loop cord with a firm tug and as it wears, it becomes easier and less secure to pull through. During installation, I remove the device, loop the tools through, and the tape that holds them together for safety. The security of the country. Having to go down to retrieve a dropped tool and then go back up is annoying. You're more likely to feel the sting if you drop it on your significant other. My only wish is that there was a variety of colors in the 3 pack instead of A few clicks is all it takes to grasp.

The test results were 100% correct
5/5

Last updated In response to CandK's comment in my original post, I would like to suggest the following During a drop test, I arranged three steel plates that weighed five pounds in a manner that a tool could be attached, and then attached a carabiner to the eye of a forged hook. The 8" steel I-beam should be bolted in An arrowhead. In the late eighties and early nineties In case of length falls, this device works as expected! It is not a failure and it is not stressed. Steel is the material of the carabiner, whose strength far exceeds the requirements. As of today, I've changed my rating from 4- I have starred an original post and will show it We are proud to be made in the United States. I am concerned. It's perfect for hobbyists, casual visitors, and anyone who can get by on a day-to-day basis You can use this for professional purposes. Very easy to extend and retract (coiled bungee). If you are using it on something larger than a 10" - 12" The Crescent Wrench 12" or the large crescent wrench On a personal visit up on a roof, I used a hole screwdriver A tower owned by the company. Fits easily onto the appropriate tool without any issues at all. There is a plastic "choke" on the sliding rod and aluminum carabiners on the single-sided clips These action clips will show you how things work You should not use this in environments requiring critical or life-saving functions. It is easy for me to carry all three in my climbing pouch and deploy them within seconds.

Thank you - An excellent product that has been well-made It was sized correctly and was up to the job
5/5

A sturdy steel carabiner and a good quality YKK stopper complete the package. It is a tool that As the attachment end of the loop is built with some redundancy, if one of the independent sewn ends fails under stress, the other end and the stopper will (probably) keep the tool close at hand. This is a great length for keeping a tool in place without causing your fingers to strain against the The pack of 3 I got from Harbor Freight is specifically for keeping my rigging tools from falling into the water while I am on the In fact, I immediately started imagining other places (such as 19 feet up a ladder) where it would be better for me to keep my tools with me rather than to drop them. A few seconds are all it takes to change the leash from one tool to another. All I want to know now is if I can get another 3 You can also order more than one.

The shackles are heavy duty and have a great stretch to them
4/5

This coil is very impressive and stretches very well. These rod holders are ideal for storing your rods. There didn't seem to be anything getting tangled up with it next to another. The fish were healthy and there were no problems during 3 days of fishing. This is a nice, if a little heavy, quick connect, with stainless steel construction. Casting topwater all day can be a bit of a challenge with its weight. One end of the cable needs to be removed, and I'm going to replace it with an aluminum connector to reduce weight. This shorter version can be found at 3'-06" An aluminum connector is attached to the coil of the lanyard. We're going to replace the end on one of them. This one is short for tools and other stuff, and this one is longer The best ones I've found have a little extra weight to them, but I don't mind it.

It is a great product for the price
4/5

The price is reasonable and you get a lot for your It only has one fault, which is the tightening clip occasionally loosens around the handle of the impact while I wear it, and it climbs up and gets in the way when I try to remove it from my belt. The length is perfect if you need to reach your Max distance. My max screw off height when standing is 7 feet. I'm 5 foot 10 and reach up to 7 feet to do this. I needed something to stop my tool from falling out of my lift and down a hundred feet. This does not stop it from hitting the ground, but it prevents it from falling.

These lanyards are great and are very reasonably priced
4/5

It seems a lot of the chemical plants that I go to have changed their rules and now require twist lock clasps instead of these tool lanyards. It would be nice to have twist locks on them. I have not had any issues with these other than that.

Do not delay
5/5

Invest in it before it is too late. I dropped my cordless drill from 15 feet up to the ground, but it worked fine so I picked this up to prevent that from happening again. It seems to be well made.

It is worth buying for the price
4/5

It is great to have when the terrain is rough or if you work in the air like the construction industry and don't want to lose your tools or hardhat to the ground.
