RP24096 should never be purchased in conjunction with this! The handles of my Delta faucet began to leak, so I decided to replace the brass o-rings as soon as possible. Although I had replaced rings, I decided to replace the entire stem unit, seats, and springs while I had everything apart. While looking at Delta's website, I found the RP24096 Stem Unit Assembly to replace the rings I was replacing. When I searched on Amazon for this stem unit, I found it by itself, then I found this item which appeared to be a complete package of both stem assemblies and The kit did not appear to be broken down into parts, it appeared to be complete. As I mentioned, after installing everything, the leak has stopped, but now 50% of the handle is required for the full flow of water to occur. From there, the water flow decreases. Oh, well, I knew I shouldn't have bought the unit without a clear understanding of what was inside but it only cost $6 more than two seats and springs would have, so I went ahead and bought Last but not least, the replica I am replacing appears to be made much cheaperly than the original I replaced.

I was able to stop the leak, but the new chrome screw-in outer surface was corroding I had to use the old down covers because the new ones wouldn't work. As others have pointed out, the part number on the faucet assembly may or may not match the part number listed for the new parts. Be sure to carefully compare the old inserts and the new inserts since!.

I now know they work just the same as the sink and tub faucets. I also like the fact that it is easy to install.

I love it.
Perfect fit.

As it turned out, I had flipped them 180 degrees.

This was purchased for replacing an old claw foot tub shower faucet which leaked and one of the bonnet nuts had There was no obvious problem with this faucet and they seemed like decent quality parts.

It is working as it should.
