I really like the material used for this and it's really strong. My only complaint is that I don't love the new design. The first thing I want to say is its great, and I would definitely recommend it. Aww, the wheels, the bag, and the overall look and feel of this vacuum are such a great combination. Despite my love for this machine, I do have one complaint the blower port (the outtake port) is pretty flimsy, and mine cracked on the first use as I was struggling with the latch to unlock the hose attach. Gorilla glue made it easy to fix, but on inspection of the rest of the vacuum, this part is definitely thin when compared to the rest of the vacuum AND in a spot where one would think the design team and engineering would want a stronger part considering the use and wear it will get. The pros include Depending on the level of noise, the cost, the design, the features, the power, etc. The cons are Critical areas of the device are too weak under normal and heavy use, where a great deal of action and abuse will be experienced.
I found this vacuum to be quite quiet. A dust deputy is used between a vacuum and a dust boot on my CNC. It is quiet enough to be able to talk. A lot of suction is provided by this device. Exactly what I was looking for. However, I will have to wait and see if the system continues to work for years to come.
It was finally time for the Shop Vac motor to die. The following is the content of this unit This is a good thing It has a good suction at the wand, adequate attachments (except one), and is easy to use and service- it has two latches that make it easy to remove the top. It features free-rolling wheels, and the wand hose rotates inside the power head, so no twisting is necessary. It is a good place for accessories to store. *Do not use filter bags if you are using a machine with no filtering system. Using without is my preferred method. There are two bad things Vacs tend to be noisy, as this one is. Quiet is not what you can expect. You will find the hose attachment point on your knee and shin bone more than once since it extends about 6" from the power head. If you want to know how I know, ask me. *There is no upholstery brush included with this kit. There is no point in earning one star if that is so shoddy. As I do NOT wish to pay an extra $29 for a brush, I replaced a rubber Fernco coupler on my old Shop Vac brush (see photo). I now have a vacuum that fits this new one. The design may not be pretty, but it is functional. Any vac system needs this part to function properly. Thank you. I hope that helped.
Vacuum machines like this one should be as good as they can Comparatively to other shop vacs I have used, I am impressed with how quiet it is. I also liked the fact that even though this had a larger hose, the hose from my old shop vac worked with it, so I could use all the tools that I have accumulated This is a highly recommended product.
The vacuum has great suction and is very quiet. Due to the poor selection of attachments, the attachment selection gets one star off. Normally, a bristled attachment should come with a vacuum, but this one does not.
I just received the 10gallon version of this. A little bit difficult to assemble, but it goes together well. It was broken and one of the plastic tubes was split.
There is a lot of suction with this suction cleaner and it is quiet and seems to be built to last. There are 20' of power cord, hard rubber easy rolling wheels and a built-in storage bag of accessories as well. The wet/dry was a bit expensive at $139, but I would say it's well worth it compared to all the other models I looked at.
I think this is an excellent shop vacuum. I think the capacity of 10 gal is just right for this. My previous 16 gal shop vac was too cumbersome and too large for me to use conveniently. This one does an excellent job but is also small enough to get through doors, etc. In addition to its long power cord and rubber strap to hold the hose when not in use, the machine has many other positive features. As well as suction, it has decent power.
