I did not expect it to be perfect at this price point, but it exceeded The tool is perfect for household jobs around the house. I use it to open my laptop case, assemble my new shop vac, fix appliances, work on lighting fixtures, etc. This pistol lock is incredibly solid from straight to 90°. Drive case is completely made of metal. Around the nose of the case there is rubberized padding. The status of the battery is displayed. Activated by a trigger, the LED headlight is on or off. The socket has a standard micro USB charging port. There is also a magnetic The Lithium Ion 4volt power cell has a high capacity. There are a few more features, but those are the most notable. This is the first time I have not bought a new Black & Decker I had not picked up a Decker product in probably 30 years, with all the higher end tools like Bosh, Makita, and Dewalt, but I was blown away when I saw this at a Home Depot. Several weeks ago, we had a store sale & It was decided to order. Besides owning two homes and working on several vehicles, I am constantly doing repairs and upgrades. In my opinion, there are several things worth noting. 1st Clarifying #1. You should watch out for products using NiCd or NiMh batteries when using lithium ion The #2 item. It has a USB port, so I could charge it from the stereo in my car or my laptop/phone Heck, I could use my PlayStation to charge it. This is a very nice enhancement to not having to keep track of another dedicated charger. #3. An automatic weapon to a straight one using a transformer. While working at a desk, sitting in an inline position is natural. When facing a wall, you should adopt a pistol position. This is #4. This is torque. According to the specs of many other cordless screwdrivers, this model has one of the highest torque ratings. The cons are In all actuality, the only thing I have to complain about is that there should be a ridge or built up area next to the foreward reverse button and trigger so it can't be If those areas require building up with epoxy and micro balloon filler, I will probably use that. In the cheaper version of this switch (BDCS30) the direction switch is on the top, however a pistol to inline transformation function is not included. There needs to be a firmer spring in the trigger, it's a bit flimsy. You might want to give this a shot. The long screws on electrical fixtures and computer cases are easy to remove with it. Wiha & Co. offers many precision 4mm bits at reasonable prices so you can adapt a 1/4" bit to 4mm and use it for this purpose I fixed it. Although I cannot speak to the negative reviews and issues others have encountered, I guess every now and then, you need to ask for help. If this is not done, a defect will be introduced. As far as being particular and meticulous is concerned, I firmly believe that I don't tolerate poorly designed or defective products, and I'm not shy about returning things or giving negative reviews. It would get a 4 out of 5 from me. I would give a 5 star rating if I could because of the switch issue, but I am sure I can modify it. When I helped my brother assemble his metal storage building and I had hundreds of sheet metal screws to apply, I would have loved to have had this. This is P. It makes a great gift this Christmas , just include a modest bit set with the BDCS40 / 30 and 20. A great gift I bought for my new, high-end desktop computer End-to-end DIY computer build, and not only did it speed up the process greatly, but it also relieved a significant amount of pain and ache from running over all of the screws that I would have otherwise dealt with by There were no problems with the hex fittings The shafted driver bits and extensions I purchased separately, and I was able to use both the pistol and straight configurations, As far as the trigger position goes, it is ideally positioned. There is a small charge on the battery so that you can get straight to work when you receive the unit. This includes charging indicator LEDs as well as a forward light that shines directly on the bit tip when you depress the trigger so you can see what you are doing when it is dark. ***Since the screw direction switch can be a bit problematic, I have a small complaint. The button is placed in a convenient place for simple thumb or index finger pushes to reverse the direction. Despite this, the switch has very low resistance, and because it's close to the thumb and index finger, it's very easy to accidentally push it out of place, which could cause the trigger to be permanently disabled (middle position) or turn the weapon in the opposite direction. It will be much easier to tolerate the very minor inconvenience of using my free hand to switch and lock the turning direction where it will STAY until I decide to intentionally change it rather than endure constant frustration from it sliding out of lock due to the current design. Although this single issue can be considered a drawback, it is still not enough to detract from the rating. B&E, you need to fix that This is a perfect tool, and it may very well be designed perfectly. I think it is quite good as it stands now and represents a fair value given I urge you to purchase this one!.

We bought the item on the basis of B&N A solid product that exceeded my expectations about reliability, quality, and price. However, the flathead screw accessory was missing and I needed that for my project. Instead, the product came with a blank piece (shown in picture), which probably wasn't molded at Because I thought maybe there was just a packing error, I returned the item and got the exact same model as a In addition to the flat head accessory being missing, the replacement as well needed to be returned. A different brand is likely to be my next choice.

It's a really good screwdriver. As part of my normal process of finding out what people don't like about a product, I went to the negative reviews! As well as negative reviews, I also look at middle and positive ones. The drill doesn't have a cord! As a matter of fact, I have done just that countless times! Light drilling is clearly only allowed, like drilling small pilot holes in sheetrock! I found it to be quite reliable, in fact. Now it comes to flipping the switch to forward or reverse. It is easy for someone to push it accidentally. It's also easy to push it back and forth again in the direction you want to go! It is useful to have the light. It's great how the flip feature works! While I use it most of the time as a gun, there are times when I also need to use a straight screwdriver. An indicator for the battery is useful once more. This has been on my desk for about a year now. As my house has been moved (1100 miles), this has become my go-to screwdriver for re-assembling everything. Amazingly, the battery runs for a long period of time. There will be a wide range of expectations and experiences regarding In addition, any USB charger can be used to charge it!
