A tool like this is better suited for busy homeowners who have little time for DIY projects. I'm the one in the picture! I used it for walls in my basement and in my kitchen and dining areas, and so far, this has been the best investment I've ever made. Hand sanders are what I used in my basement to start sanding. It takes a lot of time! So I got this guy, finished my basement, went up, and sanded, patched, and re-plastered it In just 4 hours, I had enough sand to cover my dining room and kitchen. In the end, waiting for the mud to dry was the most difficult part. I mean it. I was really disappointed in the condition of the walls (there were several drip marks on the walls, there were joints showing, there were nicks/dings, and just all-around a bad We just painted the walls and the wall feels so smooth. I cannot wait to paint them! This was evidently not good for edges/corners, which also looked awful. The sander I use for that is different.
