I think that the bit itself is sufficient. Does it not last as long as other models? As far as I can tell, this is the first time I've tried something of this kind. This bit definitely caught my attention due to the possibilities it offered. There is a bit of work involved in the set up. You Tube provided me with several videos, and if you're new to the tool, I suggest you do the same. There are more than one video available. Don't be surprised if it takes a while to set your system It took me some time to understand the nuances of the system. With that said, I can report the following Worked like a charm! It cannot be used for hand routing. To do so, one must have a table, and it must be a good table. *I rated this as one star because of how difficult it is to use. There is no way to do this step-by-step so the experience is really not for the beginner.

Although the product is better in a 1/2 inch shaft, the 1/4 inch shaft is not worth the purchase. This leads to it slipping out The most dangerous thing about this bit is that unless you have a table and router, it can be very difficult to use. Your table needs to be solid and your router needs to have variable speeds. I use a table top router table with the factory stock fence on it. Make sure you are buying what you think you are buying.

It works fine, but it vibrates quite a lot.

It's not that difficult to figure out once you get the hang of it.

Buying is not a good idea. I almost destroyed my router because of the bit. I used it a single time with light pressure and I bent the shaft. Having locked the bit to the cam, the device is now ready for use. There will be no more purchases from this company.

Though I had to fiddle around to get it to set correctly for half inch stock, I was able to use it. The price was very reasonable for what I received.
