Questions & Answers
It's a type of paper made of aluminum oxide. If you're sanding Bondo and aren't sure which hundred grid to use, this 3M paper is excellent and rated for a variety of materials. It isn't sandpaper that has been wet. If you're looking for sandpaper, silicon carbide is the way to go.
Each pack contains 20 sheets.

It's something I've been using for a long time. Woodworking sandpaper of the highest quality. period! All of the big box and small hardware stores have stopped carrying it, and only the cheaper grade is available. I don't have the time or patience to deal with the low-cost options. I checked Amazon, and they had it in stock and delivered it the next day. I'm at a loss for words when it comes to sheer beauty.
Great sandpaper that lasts a long time. I cut these sheets in thirds to fit my Makita power sander and used a bunch of them to sand all of the cedarbr>and plywood for a recent greenhouse project, and the finish was perfect for removing mill marks and receiving a nice, high-quality stain. I tried a finer grade finish paper at one point, but found that the second sanding didn't improve the stained wood's quality much. Yes, when the current box is depleted, I'll purchase another.
I'm a woodworker, and I have to say that this sandpaper is fantastic. I was sanding in between coats of lacquer one day, and a painter who was painting my house noticed me sanding and offered me a piece of this stuff. This sand paper removed the material quickly and left a smooth surface, which I noticed right away. Due to the underlying sanding, my next coat of lacquer went on smoothly and glossy. It also has a long shelf life. Hand sanding, let's face it, is a pain, but it's sometimes necessary. You can finish the job faster and with less effort if you use this sand paper. When it comes to hand sanding, I'll use the purple because it's well worth the money.
This is the best sandpaper I've ever used. However, exercise caution. The grit number is not always accurate. This item is grittier than the majority of its peers. When in doubt, when it comes to the purple stuff, go for the higher number.
These are a little more expensive, but they last much longer than the less expensive sandpaper.
I'll order again.
Professional quality at a great price; it's a great investment, and it doesn't slip.
