There is a directional arrow on each belt that I received (not on the outside) The belts are covered with the grit surface. See if you can find the arrows and the text again Make sure they point in the direction where the belt is rotating.
Selected User Reviews For Tonmp 30 PCS 2.5 inch x 14 inch Sanding Belts - 10 Each of 40 80 120 Grit Aluminum Oxide Sanding Belts For Belt sander (2.5x14 inch)
We had a problem with the 40 grit belts because they were too long & As mounted on my old Craftsman 4" belt sander, the belt slipped instead of sanding. It was only just possible to use 80 grit belts because they would slip under any additional pressure. It works fine with the 120 grit belts. Only time will tell if they will last, as I haven't used them long enough to know. When it comes to value, the ones I can use will probably be of a good value, but the ones I cannot use should be discounted.
For my sander, I selected this nice selection of paper. It appears to break easily, according to someone I spoke to. You may only mount it in one direction. There are large arrows on the reverse side which show which direction There's a problem with it. A belt sander is the only tool I have ever used that doesn't break eventually when it catches on something. Depending on what you are sanding and how aggressively you use the sander, you may need to use more or less. It's only for really tough jobs that I use the belt sander Eventually, the connection will break, so I predict it will happen. The paper has a nice sharp grit, yet it is still a nice paper. The way I use it is fine.
It's hard to believe that such good sanding belts are for sale at such a high price. I tore up carpet and sanded all the oak hardwood floors in my home with these belts and they In all the times I wore them, I never had one break on me and they lasted a long time before finally letting down on me. These excellent sanding belts from Tonmp are highly recommended.
Having read other reviews, I have to agree. There were too many long pieces of 40 grit (24 1/8). 24 1/16 inches were the length of the 80 grit. There were 24" long 120-grit pieces, but they worked until they got warm and then began to slip. There was no tears in the paper, but the gritty surface wears off soon after. My dust bag was filled with small red dots mixed in with saw dust. It was sandpaper on a belt sander spinning fast in a way that made it rip off wood from the deck boards and I was gaining ground. As soon as I stopped using the belts and went back to the Powertec belts, I went from being stuck to progressing. I would not buy from this store.
We've tried other brands that weren't as good as this one. The belts have been so good, that we bought three packages, and we are very pleased with them. As a result, the belts run straight in the sander and we haven't faced any issue with them.
Belts for sanding at a cheap price. There are a lot I have noticed that they smear dust very quickly, and sometimes the paper tears. A replacement is possible, but it may take some time.
In 2007, sander belts were made and in 2021 it will be manufactured again. These have been sitting on the shelf for more than a decade before they were Because they were so old, the zip ties were so fragile that they broke with the slightest It's hard for me to visualize how fragile the sanding belts must be.
In addition to tracking well and wearing well, they are also durable. In the sander I don't last a minute with the belts I had, so I had to order new belts because the glue on the belts I had (that are more than several years old) fell off. The belts will be examined in the future to determine whether their issues are the same.
