Questions & Answers

Do you know that this doesn't automatically fill your tire with air? For air to be put in it, does it need to be connected to an air compressor?

Ideally, the air compressor will be connected to the machine.

What is the accuracy of this reading compared to the ?

Within 1%, they say, they have calibrated the machine. In any case, I've got a certified gauge that always reports this AstroAI as being 12 lb underweight. Besides my inexpensive digital gauge, I have another guage which is also 12.8 pounds This is based on the third gauge I have certified. A good example is The fill level should be +/- 40# if your tires need to be filled to 40# There is a difference of 4# so it is not exactly 12.5# but it is This could also be the case if it's that overfilled. Typically, I would say that is fairly accurate if you know which direction your AstroAI reads (over or under). You can get an idea of your own AstroAI Read by looking at the screenshot. I use this all the time and I really The only thing I overfilled was 1/2 lb.

In what context does the valve core tool appear to be used?

When the valve core tool is used, the core is removed from or installed inside the stem of the valve. The best thing to do if you have a slow leak is to check the tightness. Additionally, it is excellent for fast deflation of tires.

A defect or unsafe condition A PROMPT replacement has been made
4/5

It was purchased in August of last year. The first time I used this today, 10/3/18, I noticed a crack on the bottom of the base when I installed the provided cable. There are all sorts of leaks in those fittings, since they were installed by hand. I do not recommend using this. I find this to be very disappointing. It is not a good idea. **Only one correction **Only one correction It was the customer service that made all the difference and provided a replacement within a short period of time. I replaced the part, installed it, tested it, and it was working as planned We are not aware of any leaks or Among one to four stars, it's a good product and a good customer service. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!.

Thanks for providing such a great product

I've been checking my tire pressure with two dial indicator (analog) gauges for years now. It takes from one to three pounds out of alignment if both gauges are in alignment with the TPMS on my Mercedes. Furthermore, I have never had the TPMS show exactly how much air is in the tires according to the two gauges, even when they are still cold (not yet driven). You should know that each of these gauges is from an auto store and that each one costs As an alternative to checking pressure with an air compressor hose with air chuck then adding air and checking again, I wanted an inflatable with a built-in pressure gauge, rather than checking pressure then adding air then checking again. In this way, I am searching for an all-in-one device. This inflator/digital pressure gauge combo seems to be a good value, but I was hesitant to buy it at first because of the price. Eventually, after watching lots of videos and reading lots of reviews, I bought it. I hooked it up to my air hose and checked all the tires on my vehicle today after it arrived yesterday. This set the tires to their factory specs - 33 pounds for the front tires and 38 pounds for the While I was out riding, I went for a ride. I observed a reading on the Mercedes pressure gauge that matched exactly the one on the TPMS, and that the readings matched where they should have been. With the tires warmed up (about 2 miles), naturally the TPMS reading increases, but it does so all at once as it Thus, I must say that I am very impressed with the AstroAI Digital Tire Inflator with Pressure Gauge. Initially I was a little skeptical of it, but now I'm totally satisfied.

Air compression accessories are a must-have if you own an air compressor
5/5

This tire pressure gauge is great. At home, I use a quick disconnect on my air hose, making it very easy to change it. Having a lighted gauge that allows you to see the pressure, while being able to lock it to your valve, makes it a great gauge since you can inflate whatever you want- while checking what the pressure is. In case you add a little more than what you would like, just push the deflator button a couple of seconds to release the excess. Nevertheless, this valve still has to remain attached to the stem, so it does not have to be removed. My favorite part is the trigger handle, it feels just right in your hand and places the gauge just at the right angle to make it easy to see in close quarters.
It really is made for mechanics or for use in a home environment, allowing you to attach it to an air compressor and use it as a stand alone tire pressure gauge, but it is too large and bulky to fit in your glovebox. Although you should have an air compressor already, this is a must-have accessory that you will really appreciate having. * Extremely reliable and accurate!.

This tire inflator works the same as most others
4/5

When we bought this, we thought that it provided a way to monitor tire pressure while the tires were There's no such thing as a free lunch. Tire pressure is not known until after the inflation process is complete because the user does not know how much to inflate the tire. By measuring the tire pressure with the included gauge, the user can determine the correct pressure. To reset the pressures, the tire must be deflated, or the inflation process repeated if it is too high or too low. Until the tire is inflated to a desired pressure, the process must be repeated step by step. It's the same process that users who have a separate pressure gauge have to follow. In my contact with customer service, I was informed this is the way the device is designed to work. There is some possibility that the wording used in the product description may lead some users to believe the same thing as me You can simply fill the tire to the exact pressure you desire as opposed to filling the tire, checking the pressure, adjusting, and checking, and repeating over and over. "Based on my experience, I can say that it works like most tire inflators. ". I am raising my review to four stars due to the proactive follow-up by customer service and the action taken as a result. There's no problem with the item, it just doesn't work the way we need it to. It is my belief that the product description should be revised It is a pleasure to work with this vendor.

The website is very easy to use
4/5

The inflators and pressure gauges I've used (and gone through) have been quite a few.
All of the cheaper ones have failed (gauge falling apart, tire chuck not sealing). There was only one that lasted ($20 range) and had a scale pin that pushed out and it was very difficult to read the pressure with it (it finally failed because the rubber hose became brittle and the rubber seal in the press on chuck was worn out). Prior to buying anything for $50 or more, make sure you can get out of it Here's what I tried $100 for a professional one. Now that it has been in operation for a few months, it is becoming increasingly useful. I find the layout and the text to be very easy to read and use. When the tire valve chuck is pressed onto the valve, the light turns on after a second. As far as I can tell, everything works. One of my concerns (and why I decided to take one star off for accuracy) is that the self clamping tire check does not provide a proper seal and needs to be held or pushed on by hand. They should be clamped onto the valve (see the professional tire stores for details Keep on for 24 hours) and should seal perfectly. The product was a good buy for the price. We will see how it performs over time.

I really like it
5/5

The gauging system works great, the gauge automatically turns on when it senses pressure and shuts off automatically when the pressure drops. It's amazing how nice it looked considering the price. Hopefully it will last as long as the picture. Based on this gauge, I inflated all of my tires to 40 psi. Earlier that morning, I had just fixed one tire, which I checked to make sure no leaks were present. The gauge told me 30 PSI when I checked it! pulled it back out just to be safe because I could not believe it had dropped so much. It reads 40 psi now. My calibration was so far out of whack that I could not believe it. Guess what I discovered when I checked the tire pressure using the TPMS system. The pressures were all 40 pounds per square inch on this device. The diagnosis of this other pressure gauge resulted in almost 10 pounds of pressure being off.
