This thing is almost perfect; it can fully open, giving you access to a wide range of tools. The orange makes it bright inside, allowing you to see through it. It also has the best tool pouch to storage pocket ratio of any tool pouch on the market. The pockets are generously sized and spacious. It has a huge volume to it. Fill it up with tools, and there's still room in the middle for a pouch and a power tool. It is also extremely durable. Its stiffness ensures that when you open it, it will not collapse under the weight of the tools inside. After 25 years at my current job, I can confidently state that this bag is the best there is. br>br>Just before this, I tried the Dwalt 57 pocket backpack, which was awkward with the two sides and had a lot of wasted space with a million tiny pockets that were too small to be useful. Zippered storage was either non-existent or almost non-existent. Furthermore, the pockets were too small to hold tools. Take a close look at the photos to see how shallow the pouches are. In general, it was cramped. They have a bunch of tools jammed into the front side in the photos, but if you look closely, you can see that it will never close because it is too small. It took me two seconds to decide to send it back after attempting to put tools in it.
It houses the majority of my hand tools, as well as a drill, meter, and low-volt testers, which I use as a commercial electrician. The only flaw I can see is that the bottom does not have the hard rubber surface that is required to protect against hard surfaces such as those found on construction sites. However, I am pleased with my purchase, which appears to be of good quality.
It is extremely durable and can carry a lot of weight. When both straps are used, it is extremely comfortable on the back. The bag becomes unbalanced and uncomfortable when only one strap is used. The opening is fantastic, with a wide range of open possibilities. All of the tools are accessible with just a small amount of open space. Fully open positions them and allows for easier access, but this isn't always necessary. br>I am completely smitten with this bag. LOVE. br>IF this bag ever fails, which I doubt will happen for a long time, I will replace it.
This is what I use for all of my home's HVAC needs. I'd give it a four out of five. If I could, I'd give it a five-star rating. I can fit two drills, two drill bit containers, a hammer, multimeter, eight small hand tools, a headlamp, gloves, tubing cutter, and a wirenut organizer inside this thing, and that's not including the stuff on the outside. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it lacks the rubberized boot on the bottom. This is fantastic. It's thick, so you won't get stabbed in the back, and it's lightweight. Not to mention the fact that there will be no more spilled tools. If you need to carry your tools in a tote bag, Consider a bag like this if you want to carry your belongings in style. It's a little heavy at times, but that's the point. It's sturdy, won't tip over, and can hold all of my tools except gauges, which I can do anyway with my hands free.
As a cable technician, I use this bag on a daily basis, and I have to say, it is the best bag I've ever used. I've tried backpacks and shoulder totes, and this bag meets all of my needs and then some. I have plenty of room in this bag for all of my telephone and coax tools (fiber techs, too). The drill holder, electrical tape, and side pocket are all very useful and convenient. The only thing I would change about this bag is that the tools in the top pockets on the back rub against the back flap, which causes it to wear down. It isn't completely worn out, but it does show signs of use. I'd also like to see a waterproof bottom because it will absorb liquid if placed in it. However, the advantages outnumber the disadvantages by a large margin. I carry this bag for ten hours a day and it doesn't seem to mind, no matter how well I care for it. To top it off, it's a breeze to clean up. It's an excellent bag, and the flashlight is well worth the investment.
More slots for larger tools, such as batteries or a drill holder, would be nice. As an electrician, I'm going to make use of it. As a result, there are far too many screwdriver slots for me. I only use about 5 hand tools, so there's plenty of room for more. However, the durability is excellent.
It has a lot of room in the center, but it could use a few more pockets for common hand tools. The straps and carry handle are my favorite features. The bag's exterior has started to lose its stiffness over time, causing it to slump and become slouchy. The bag's bottom is sturdier than it appears, but it's still showing wear sooner than I'd like; it needs a plastic molded bottom to be bombproof. Based solely on the bottom's durability and the stiffness of the exterior, I would not purchase this bag again.
I work as a field technician for aerial equipment, and I spend a lot of time walking around data centers. I've used a few different backpacks and this one is by far the best. I dislike having a lot of pockets because they tend to be too small to be useful. This has the perfect amount of space, and the open space at the bottom is fantastic. My bag weighs about 40 pounds when fully loaded and is extremely comfortable; the zippers are of excellent quality, and the weather is mild. I would strongly advise!.
