This is a subset of The set of hex drivers are of average quality. I was searching for a good quality set of sturdy hex drivers. The item I received after receiving it was so disappointing that it was really a waste of money and time. Since the product was made in the United States, I was sold. The drivers are super cheap and weak. When you apply pressure, the back does not rotate as it should and the shape of the handle is awful. As a result of the molding process, there are many sharp stubs. It is likely that the smaller shafts will bend with relatively little effort since none of them had the size of the hex printed or engraved. All of the shafts look identical. Rather than the raw hex piece melted into these odd shaped handles, the shaft is made up of nothing more than the raw hex piece. A step up needs to be taken by Eklind and he needs to look at some of the excellent, high quality "over seas" versions.

It was a 0 that I needed. When I bought a set of these to use for general use when needed I realized that I needed a 9mm hex wrench for an RC car gear grub screw. In general, they'll work so long as the work isn't too strenuous or mission crucial. Although the quality of the alloy and plastic components are not exceptional, they're within what you'd expect for an affordable set of this kind. A nice feature is that the size of the bit is stamped on the side of the handle. My only major complaint is that the milled part of the shank (the part with the hex bit) is just a tiny fraction of the overall height. If you're talking about really small bits, it might be no more than one This is a 2mm deep hole. If the screw is recessed at all (as it was in my case), it becomes virtually impossible to use.

This is my second attempt to get this set of 8 screw drivers, but I always receive only 7 in the package, as you can see in the photo. I received the first set which was not tagged at the top so I think it may have been a return. In addition to the metric set, I also received the normal set, which also came with a tag, so I knew it A third set will not be ordered. I was happy to support the American business, but the quality of the overall construction was disappointing.

When an ordinary hex key set won't fit tiny screws, these are the best. If you have messed up on a job because your regular hex key set doesn't go small enough, these will do the trick. It is even possible to drive the smallest and tightest screws with these drivers.
With screws glued in place, I was able to repair binoculars. A cheaper tool would have failed to provide a tight fitting hex tip. It cost a lot of money to buy these. They may be enough to get you through, but if they are the tool you need, they stand between you and success.

I needed a set that catered to small optics for those rare occasions when I had to work on very small optics after 7pm on a Saturday night. The truth is you already I hate those Aww heck moments when faced with a weird hex screw and it's just a standard screw Keys with a large hexagonal shape. A set like this will do the trick. They come in a plastic bag that's worthless, but the drivers are nice and they do their jobs well,.

It is probably not the right choice for someone who needs a lot of torque. There's a problem with the bit being attached to the handle properly. The bit inside the handle already bent out of the handle after one of the screws broke off. The next time I try to get it out, I won't look to see if I can get it out again Put it on a piece of glue. In addition, it appears that the metal is not very hard, so it is likely they will be stripped quite.

I am very pleased with these tools. There is a lot to like about the shank length and the handle size. There is only one thing I don't like about them, which is that the hex shank only goes down to driver size within the last few millimeters, making it impossible to dress a fresh tip when the tip becomes worn down. There are some manufacturers who leave the length long enough to allow dressing of the torx and allen drivers. As a solid company like Eklind, I would have expected this. It has been very rare for me to complain over the years about my Eklind tools.

Soft metals are used in making these. The 1. has been trimmed. The aluminum hot end of a 3D printer is removed with a 5mm grub screw.
