As soon as the bolt broke off, there were many sighs of relief. By using a 1/2 inch breaker bar and 1/2 X 3/8 adapter, smooth torque was applied to the bolt head by tapping the removal socket on the bolt head, praying, and then removing the bolt. I was concerned when my removal sockets were 3/8 drive, as they are likely to damage the BBC head bolt. Not to worry, however, the sockets are solid. I had a great time!
