The used model I received was in poor condition. It doesn't say whether or not this is a new or used set on the web page that I ordered from. Because of the abuse this unit endures, I didn't expect to get one that had been used. I was trying not to go out, so the price didn't reflect used cost either. I could have gotten an identical model from my local hardware for the same price, but I wasn't interested in going.

As soon as my original grabbit broke, I decided to buy this one. The first test was on a sheet metal screw that had become stripped. There is no way to use them. It is not worth it. The product you need if you need to polish a stripped out screw should do just the trick. It may be helpful for you to find grabbits in order to remove the stripped out screw.

A soft material was used for the ease outs. When I removed one stripped screw, I discovered that the left hand bit had broken off. I did manage to remove the stripped screw, but the cheap material means that these would be like one-hit wonders. During my work on a Grade 2 soft steel screw, I found an issue with the threads. It is doubtful that the drill would have been able to cut a grade 5 screw or bolt and I am almost certain that it would not scratch a grade 8 screw or bolt.

The electronic kit came nicely packaged in its own case however, only 4 slots and 5 bits are included. It's interesting not to keep one in the case, but leave one loose like that. I had to use a separate drill bit after using half of the bits at first, since the tips of some of them could not sustain more than one use. I was not even able to remove the damaged screw using the extractor end. The product I received was not the right one for me. Don't be afraid to spend the money on a good.

The results were positive. It will eventually happen. Five screws were stuck in the wall and were unable to be removed, but with this thing and other tools and hacks, we managed to pull them all out. I tried to do this the way it was described in the video but did not succeed. In addition, the packet didn't actually come with instructions, so I can't even say they were followed. Simply put, they don't dig deep enough grooves for the other side to latch onto and pull up on. If the screws don't rise, use an angle grinder to make a long cut across the whole head of the screw and then a flat head screw driver to get them to move.

It was purchased to remove one stripped screw head, and the extractor will not cut into the screw, nor will the end of the extractor bite into the screw. A very disappointing experience.

If you've got it, it's like a band-aid you hope you don't need it, but if you do, it will come in handy.
