This item was purchased only because I needed to cut a few screws shorter than the original length so I could make a custom coat rack out of Until I realized that the screws on the back would be pushing into the wall, it had turned out great. I made a major mistake. It strikes me as strange that people do this so often just because the screws stick out that far. I've checked Google and found that they do this all the time, and the process is very simple. To use one of these tools, you simply need to have one. are equipped with screw cutters of various sizes, so you can cut through even thick screws with just a little effort. The process was so effective that I was shocked. Ignore me if you don't understand what it does. It strips and cuts wires and does a bunch of other things that I have no idea what they do or how they work. However, for the purpose of cutting screws, this was a highly effective, cheap and easy way to get the task done. Metal shavings from sawing through them won't be left behind. Simply pop the screw off and it will be removed. It also makes sure the threads remain intact and not punched, so you can still thread a nut onto the end. *This is a great product at an outstanding price. I highly recommend it.

While they do what they are supposed to do, I don't like the length of the meeting. It's a bit annoying how wide you have to open up the handles to load the next wire, and they're not 'smooth' either, so it's a bit of a chore. Not an all-in-one' type of product. My expectation is that this tool will be used occasionally by Irwin, not as a day-to-day Having said that, I probably have an overreaction because I terminate hundreds, perhaps thousands of accounts every week.

It is an excellent wire stripper for the price. I paid about $21 for another brand, and purchased this wire stripper for about $8. The higher price for the "brand name" is not warranted just because it is in the name. Why do you want to pay more for exactly the same thing?.

I have tried cutting through a 12 gauge copper wire with the first pair and the cutter edge The cutter is still functional, but it has a notch in it now. In comparison to the first pair, the second one cuts the insulation of the wire very poorly. While the jaws tend to separate and wrap around the wire instead of cutting through the insulation, they do not always cut through it. The wire stripper performs the job as well, but it doesn't remove the wires as cleanly as the others I have owned. Given my experience with these two products, I would be hesitant to purchase anything from.

In an ideal world, the tool would be able to accomplish its objective. My goal was to replace the loose, dull tools in my bag with these new ones. are able to accomplish whatever they set their minds to. Certainly not a disappointment when it comes to a simple tool, but that's to be expected from such a simple one. am never able to get the hang of the strippers I break strands quite often, but the cutting edges are sharp enough to do the job. With this forward pliers grip, you can transfer a fair amount of force between the cutter edges and the pliers, though because of their proximity to the stripper teeth, you risk damaging them, but you can always grab a set of Despite this, I have had a few loose crimps leak off the wire. Terminal orientation is important when crimping, and when I make sure it's lined up properly and give it a triple squeeze, it usually sits and bonds tightly. While the edges of the cutter seem to lose their shape if used for anything harder than copper wire, they're not meant to be used for Don't treat them like snips and they will last forever. Mine are still sharp and cut 18 awg and thinner wire just fine. The hinge is nice and tight, probably a little too tight, but Ill prefer a tight hinge over one that is loose. They're very good at stripping wire. As one of those "tool" gifts I can use too, I bought these as a stocking stuffer for the husband unit during the holiday season. Other than some old classics from my grandfather that cannot be bought anymore, these are the best wire strippers that I've ever used. There is no need for a lot of work or care on these, as they are nice and sharded. Striping without care or concern. They are small enough and nice enough to use for everything Automobiles and micro-sized vehicles There are controllers, wiring, and so many other aspects of a house. This is the ideal pair for any situation you may encounter. There is no better place to find strippers than here.
