Questions & Answers

Is it possible to get replacement or different detent bits? Is there a difference between a t10 and a t15? No, a standard bit isn't going to work. ?

I swapped out the double square for a Klein Schrader detent bit in mine. It worked fine, but I broke the flathead on the 5/16" side, which was amusing when I discovered a 6-inch flathead. 1 with the same bit at Autozone. I bought it to replace a broken piece in my Lenox and toss out the handle. The $2 was well worth it to see the look of awe on the cashier's face. 49 that the 6-year-old 1 cost

According to the item description on this listing, the screwdriver has nine parts in total. Four ends were given to me. ?

There are no 9 separate parts in the 23932. A number one Phillips bit, a number two Phillips bit, a 3/16 inch slot bit, a 1/4 inch slot bit, a number two Square drive, a number three Square drive, a 1/4 inch Nut Driver, a 5/16 inch Nut Driver, and a 3/8 inch Nut Driver are all included in the tool.

I misplaced the single philips/3/16 slot bit. Is it possible to obtain replacement parts?

I'm not aware of any replacements that will fit, and any that do will most likely not lock into the slot. I usually just buy a new one; I've probably owned ten due to misplaced parts, and I've never had one actually wear out.

Is the price of a multipack higher than the price of a single?

I've never seen a multi-pack on the market.

They aren't what they once were
3/5

For many years, I have relied on Lenox 9 in 1. The most common reason for being replaced is due to a lot of borrowed and unreturned items. br>Unfortunately, the bits kept falling out on the last couple I purchased, so I assumed it was a bad run. This was the final time I tried to replace my favorite screwdriver. br>Within 2 hours, the bit had come loose, leaving me with a nut driver that was way too expensive.

It's as if you've reconnected with an old pal! When I lose or misplace one of these and replace it, it's like reuniting with an old friend! It's the type of tool that, with proper care, you'll be able to pass down to a future generation
5/5

br>br>Extremely high quality; the weight in your hands instills confidence. It's also not too heavy, and it's well balanced. br>br>Even when the ball bearing spring retainers get gritty from heavy use, none of the bits or the main shift are too difficult to extract and exchange. br>br>It's honestly perfect for around-the-house jobs for the DIYer or the professional, as it has the two most common phillips, straight/flat, and square/Robertson bits, as well as the three most common hex sizes for appliances and the like in North America. br>br>I've used it for everything from simple tasks like replacing outlets and outlet covers to heavy industrial and automotive maintenance, and everything in between. br>br>If you're debating whether or not to get this 9-in-1 driver, go ahead and do it. If I could justify it, I'd buy ten at a time just so I'd always have one when I misplaced one, and I could keep one in every tool kit and the car!.

I bought one of these on sale at Menards and loved it, but it let me down when I needed it the most
3/5

The bits were secure and didn't come loose. By misusing the 1/4 Phillips head, I damaged it, and it was cheaper to replace the entire 9 in 1 rather than just the single bit. I bought the second one from Amazon, and it broke after only a week of use. When I went to take it out of my bag, I noticed that the tension ball that holds the main shank in place had fallen out, and the handle was no longer secure. I gave it three stars because I put the first one through hell and it only failed due to user error, but this one was defective and failed after only a week of light use.

So when this tool arrived and the package stated "made in China," I was disappointed in myself for purchasing it
3/5

Apprenticeship review for a union insidewireman. First and foremost, I try to avoid purchasing tools that are made in China. My drill bits and hacksaws are made in the United States by Lenox. So when this tool arrived and the package stated "made in China," I was disappointed in myself for purchasing it. Regardless, I used the tool for three weeks and have already seen the bits wear out faster than I would expect from a professional tool brand. For example, I assembled 370 2x4 lights with one 1/4 bolt holding the cover on the fixture; the nut driver for that size is already worn from this task. The tool has a solid feel to it in the hand, but the wear on the p2 bit and 1/4 nut driver, combined with the lack of a number 1 square bit, turned me off. Stick with Lenox's superior hole saw arbors or tried-and-true hacksaw frames if you're buying from them. Aside from that, be American and buy American. Klein 11 in 1 tools, despite their more delicate construction, prove to be more useful on the job and are u. made for an extra three dollars.

For the past ten years, I've been using the same models
5/5

To rule them all, the 9 in 1! I started my professional career as a general maintenance worker at a Missouri manufacturing plant. We worked on overhead cranes, plasma cutters, punch presses, welders, robots, band saws, paint booths and lines, CNC machines, servos, drives, compressors, and other machines. > This was used on a daily basis by more than half of the maintenance crew! br>br>Both Philips are the right size and shape to fit almost anything you'll come across in the 1-mile radius. 2 range. They appear to fit better than many other screw drivers I've used in the past. Although having 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" nut drivers is convenient, the tube that provides this feature on all three is soft, and the end will round off after a while of use. This, along with the loss of the small Phillips/flat head bit, is why I've had to replace this 9 in 1 so many times over the years. br>br>My only complaint is that the bits rust, which I try to prevent by lightly oiling them when I notice they need it.

Multi-bit driver is my personal favorite
5/5

I used to only have the Klein 5 in 1 and 10 in 1 with me, but I've also used the Klein heavy duty 11 in 1 on occasion. The Lenox bits are more durable than Klein versions, which is why the switch was made. Fastners have been so tight in the past that I've had to use channel locks to help me remove them. I know a 5 in 1 isn't the best tool for the job, but when you don't have any other options, you do what you have to do. br>br>I've bent the tips of Klein tools and had to buy a new Klein every six months because the shafts were deformed. I haven't had any problems with this Lenox in similar situations. This original driver is still going strong after about 4 years of use, and I've since purchased more to keep in other bags. br>br>An added bonus for me is that I like having a 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" nut driver on hand because I rarely need a torx. I'd rather have the Robinson square and a heavy-duty 5/16" shank 1/4" flat and 2 Phillips than the Klein 10 in 1's 1/4" shank 1/4" flat and 2 Phillips.

Although it makes a good first impression, it lacks magnetic tips
4/5

It appears to have been well thought out, especially for a screwdriver. The grip is comfortable in the hand, and the less frequently used parts are all grouped together. The workhorse bits are the 2 Phillips and 1/4" flat blade bits, which are all on one shaft. It's convenient to have 1/4" and 5/16" nut drivers on hand to avoid having to go back to the toolbox. The fact that the tips aren't magnetized when they leave the factory is an inconvenience. As a result, a star was deducted.
