My experiences with them have been good
Although they will grip, you might want to buy a pair that is smaller. In a pinch, perhaps a 12 or 16 inch pair of Channellocks would be better, particularly if you have a limited amount of space. Here on Amazon, you can buy both sizes.
We're close to taking the win. Later, I'll check it out.

miss align, the handles slide past one another when you grip them, and they misalign even further when you grip them because the handles lift away from one another as well. It appears that this pair of Channellock tongue and groove pliers does not have enough friction and is actually rather dangerous because I can see that it could break the connecting pin or result in your fingers getting severely pinched by the handles that slip past each other when gripping to This type of pliers is best suited to the Knipex 560 Cobras, which has a slide-through handle that is held centered by another handle which wraps around it with two thick steel slabs, and has almost no play in the jaws. Although the Knipex is double the price, it is well worth the investment. As for the Channellock Big Azz 480 Pliers, I do not recommend them, even though they are stylish.
The channel locks of this size have been avoided, and instead, they are borrowed from neighbors each time the need arises, which seems to be increasing over time. It was either a rip-off or an inflated price at the local retailers The cost of the item is slightly reduced or slightly prohibitive when it is Harbor Freight sold a cheap imitation imported from China. It's a shame, since both the quality and adjustability of the knock-off were disappointing There's no power. The knock tool has to be adjusted Off was not smooth, but that wasn't as important as the castings were warped, making it difficult As a result of the shipping cost being almost half that of the tool itself, I gave up trying to get a decent deal on eBay. It was only after finding the tool advertised on Amazon at a reasonable price that I decided to buy it. I also helped myself out by finally adding a few dollar items to put the price over $35, which gave me free shipping on Amazon. Having this tool in my toolbox has saved me from a lot of trouble when replacing kitchen sink strainer baskets, frozen auto oil filters, and a whole array of other metal fittings where you might not have the correct size socket. Despite all their problems, Amazon was able to deliver on time once again. Order received within 72 hours of ordering. Delivery within 48 hours. Whether I am the luckiest person this year or Amazon has finally partnered with all their delivery services cannot be determined. Are they coincidences? I will determine if Amazon is worthy of my subscription to Amazon Prime with my next order. Amazon rocks! After a few days I noticed that this very same Channel lock 480 had gone up in price to more than $44 instead of The 94 that I paid was a fantastic bargain. I don't usually find that kind of deal too often.
Channel locks that do the job are relatively decent, but to be honest, I was expecting more from a company with this name They have quite a bit of play in the hinge tops as a result of which they don't always line up when you squeeze them. At Harbor Freight, I got a pair of shoes exactly like those for half the price -- Although I will keep them too, I was hoping the quality would be a little better for being made in the US and being.
Actually, I have used this method myself on a couple of There is no other tool on the market that can match the functionality of these pliers.
Suspension work a breeze with this tool. The USA is the source of our products. I have never seen anything like this before. Checking for worn suspension components (lower ball joints, etc) on passenger cars and trucks is very easy with this tool. We make everything in the U. S. A.
The water system uses a lot of plastic unions of various sizes. With other wrenches, it can be difficult to get a good hold on parts as large as 2" union hubs. A bit of a niche tool because of their size, as they are very useful for heavy weights but not practical for most other uses.
Because I couldn't find a wrench round enough to fit 4" rigid pipes, I bought these. They worked like a charm. While it's not a tool I use all the time, there are times when it comes in handy.
was unable to loosen a stubborn whole house water filter with the plastic wrench, so I had to replace it. Because of low water pressure and the fact that I couldn't get the filter tight enough, I had to change it out. Since the water filter should be changed in less than 5 minutes, it always took longer since I couldn't get it tight enough. So I no longer need to use these channel locks and it's a simple 5 minute job now. This is a great product to use if you are struggling with any water filter you are dealing with, be it a whole house filter or a large one for a semi. It is a typical Channel Lock product and will make you kick yourself for not getting them sooner, so go ahead and buy some.
