Since I purchased them in December 2017, when I thought they had flared handles, they did not have Despite the fact that I expected to see flared handles, I am fine with this design. The cancer warning stickers on everything made me want to leave California. The tombstone on my tombstone will probably state I died from the exposure I received to all my cancer causing tools, and I'm fine with that as well.
Pictured here is an example of what it looks like. It is impossible for the handles to touch either when they are opened a little wider.
There is not much to say about this pliers that hold joint parts. This pivotal object has two positions, namely one for a smaller grip and one for a larger grip. There's no way to adjust it further.
An inch and a half is between 3/8inch and 7/16inch. Directly measuring it is not an option for me. The situation was the same as when I replaced my pair of pliers.

Between the handles, there is no play. A pair of wire cutting shears could cut a slot into a sheet of notebook paper because they are so perfectly aligned! In all my experience with slips, I have never seen that happen Lie down on the joint with believe that there is no better way to slip-up than that There are a lot of joint pliers available The pliers are of high quality but I was surprised at the quality through my experience with SK tools. To their credit, I hope that SK has a strong quality control program so that there will be no contamination issues The joint pliers I received are as good as the one I received. I recommend it!.
A similar pair of pliers I used to own with badly damaged green coating on the handles was replaced by these. It has been impossible for me to find a coating product with the same or similar color and adequate resistance to cleaning solvents. Featuring a different mechanism for pivoting, this is a new type of ring. It's not my favorite pivot, but I do like the older ones. SK tools, on the other hand, I love and have used for more than 60 years and look forward to using for some 60 more. It will be fine with this pair.
Since I recently purchased a new pair of slip joint pliers, I have tried many different brands and these are by far my favorite. I have had a pair of these for at least a year. I gave the old ones to a coworker since they were barely damaged and I used them almost They now have a picture of the old version, so I uploaded the pictures.
No doubt, these are nice pliers, but they are quite expensive for their purpose. It is regrettable that I bought them at such a high price. Good tools are always a pleasure to work with, and these are beautifully crafted. For $27 shipped to me, I could have bought other brands and been just as satisfied. The grips leave something to be desired, but for that price, I could have bought a few pairs of another brand and been just as satisfied.
On a whim, I bought these. So far, I have not been satisfied with the quality of channellock or USA craftsman. The feel is not the same as snapon or matco, although it's decent nonetheless. The SK pair of pliers are a true snapon equivalent at about half the price. if you have worked around tools for a long time, you have noticed that high end tools have a certain feeling in your hand. the balance, the feel. these have it. A high carbon steel seems to be used in the construction as well. For a pair of quality pliers, the fit and finish are excellent and the machining tolerances are within acceptable limits.
In my lineman role, I often have to use it. In the event that it is lost, I would be inclined to purchase it again. They are unlikely to break in the future.
From an old and trusted tool maker in the United States, these well made tools are of great quality. SK has now become an option for me when it comes to buying tools.
