assumed the nub would leave a layer of powder on the bottom of the bucket after being partially mixed. I am happy to say that is The mixing bit on this device is very powerful. Since it's extra long, I don't bend as much as I would if I were using a toy. Also, it is very easy to clean. This is one of the best mixers around, highly recommended.
