I've been laying tiles since 1973, and this is the trowel I'd use for 12x12x3/8. I'd be cautious if you were any thinner than I am.

This is by far the most comfortable and effective trowel I've ever used. I never thought I'd find a trowel that could compare to the Marshall Town trowels I've come to adore, but these are superior in every way. I purchased the entire set of Frosch trowels and will never use anything else! Love it!.
br>br>I bought this trowel last year and have used it for a few projects. br>br>however, stainless steel is NOT supposed to rust. if I wanted something that would rust, I would order a cheaper product. this is rusting. It isn't made of stainless steel at all. It irritates me when things do not last as long as they should.
I never expected to be impressed by a notched trowel, but these are very nice, with beautiful stainless steel that is easy to clean. For my application, the 3/8" size is ideal. Ceramic tiles with a size of 8 x 16 inches. My 1/4x3/8 was a little too small to provide adequate coverage and adhesion. My 1/2x1/2 was a little too big and messed up. This 3/8x3/8 is perfect!br>Handle feels great as well.
These trowels appear to be made of higher-quality stainless steel than those found in big-box stores. I like how easy it is to clean and how comfortable it is to hold. They appear to be of higher quality construction than my Rubi trowels. The cardboard sleeve should be replaced with a firm plastic sleeve, as I prefer to clean and care for my tools. This could be used as a sheath to protect other equipment from the sharp edges of the trowels as well as the trowels themselves.
A trowel is made up of two parts: fit and finish and feel. The handle is a good fit for my hand size and comfortable to hold for long periods of time. I only have one job under my belt, but it appears that I am in good shape. There's plenty of steel here, it cleans up nicely, and the handle's base appears to be securely attached.
I was willing to pay a little more for a well-made stainless steel trowel that was also easy to use. I really appreciate it!.
Trowels of exceptional quality. Handles that are easy to hold. I bought the entire set and was not let down. I've been a contractor for over 35 years, and these are some of the best projects I've ever worked on.
It provides the additional thinset required for larger format tile. Only 1/4x3/8 is available at Home Depot and Lowes. I live in a more rural area, and none of the stores carry this trowel size. Love it.
