Questions & Answers

Could this be used for peening brass pins 1/4" long?

I would recommend you consider a 16 oz hammer in addition to this one. It might be a bit light, but will probably do fine. Each piece of equipment is different-the ball pin hammer is like golf clubs-each one has a specific purpose. There are six Vaughan ball pien hammers in my collection, ranging from 4 oz to 32 oz.

You've been doing that when you've gotten too drunk, right? I'm not sure what it is
5/5

Anyhow, that's a fine Most home users find it to be a good weight. You won't need a machinist or blacksmith if you're not one of them. Steel is excellent, machining is perfect, and the handle is of arrow straight white hickory. This product is made in the USA. Vaughn is where I order a lot of my hammers from. It makes me feel good to think that spending my money on American-made tools is actually helping a fellow American put food on the It feels great to be in the mood. You should give it a shot. Any customer who buys tools from the company a second time is receiving stellar service. I love it. This is a product I strongly My sincere thanks to everyone who read this article

Update Something needs to be clarified for me. In response to my stance on Chinese manufacturing, I received some feedback. Despite my antipathy towards Chinese workers, I have no issues with them. If given a choice between making crap and producing something they'd be proud of, I'm pretty sure most of them would pick the same thing you and I would choose. Despite the fact that workers are at fault, it's not their fault. In the same way that I support my fellow citizens, I also believe that they would support theirs. I have a problem with the proliferation of garbage that makes its way to the U. S. Obtaining an outcome. A loss of jobs for Americans. My heart breaks when I hear In China, there is no personal animosity toward any individual. I hope that clears up a few things.

I am impressed with these It has been a long time since I owned a good hammer, so I did some research and ended up choosing In total, I ordered 5 hammers yesterday, some of which have already been delivered
5/5

The first thing that is done is to individually and securely wrap them. The fact that Vaughan went to the trouble to package their products so well made me quite happy. It was evident from the moment the hammers were opened that they were of high quality. The painted and clear coated metal was designed to maintain its great look when not in use. of this knife is made of hickory that's really nice. My only concern is that I do not really understand why it is done, but it is not really that big a deal. Afterward, they applied shellac to the handles, then applied a couple of stickers. Because I don't like clear coated handles, I removed the stickers, sanded the handles, then applied several coats of linseed oil to them. Now that's what I call a hammer. I get it! Linseed oil seals the surface of a very smooth handle, but this is not as convenient as a lubricated handle. This "Made in the USA" hammer from Vaughan is only going to benefit you. I highly recommend Vaughan hammers for anyone who needs a good hammer.

Unless you don't mind it of course, Vaughan makes decent hammers for the price
4/5

Good quality, great price. The sticker residue on the handle has to be removed after peeling it off. With this size it's easy to do a lot of tasks that demand.

This hammer has a nice weight to it
5/5

The weight is excellent, the build quality is excellent, and the balance is excellent It was a little frustrating when removing the stickers from the wood handle since the residue was difficult to get rid of. The hammer was left in the sun to heat up and I used a towel to take it out. We took a while to clean it up, but now it's nice and The stickers should be removed easily if one is supposed to remove them.

There is nothing more important than size! Despite it being marketed and labeled as a 12-ounce hammer, the actual weight is one pound, four ounces
5/5

I almost have the same size and weight as my 16 oz Craftsman ball pein and it is slightly larger than my Is it possible that some of these got mislabeled? I wish the hammer was a bit smaller, otherwise it's a nice tool.

This product remained firm even after beating it up hard

Solid product. Likely won't have any problems with the tip coming off any time soon.

It was a 16oz head at first, but I think it was a 12oz one
3/5

Is that all there is to it? The weight of the hammer is a lie, but the quality is decent. As I carefully weighed the head on a scale while holding the handle gently, I discovered that it is a 16 ounce hammerhead. Despite my need for the hammer and the fact I do not care enough to return it, it seems that Amazon is suffering from a run of mislabelled.

It is nice to see you in the USA! I like hammers sweetly
5/5

You can tell this is a made in the USA product. I am leaving the wrap off the head because it is nice steel, and I thought it was ill conceived when I first put it on In my testing, I found it to be a much more comfortable grip. I find it to be an excellent.
