There are two sides to each ruler. Measurements for one are metric and another are imperial. Inches appear at the top of each ruler on the imperial side. In the upper set, 1/20th is also shown on that side. Each is 5 mm and 1 mm thick.

A simple ruler is all you need.

The rulers have a bit of weight to them, making them a good choice. There are 1 hanging holes on each end. The width of the square is 01" and the depth is These scales are 0. 28" thick, which makes them a bit thicker than the machinist's scales, but they are good for everyday use I checked with my dial calipers and they are spot on. To make it easier, inches and centimeters were plotted on opposite sides of the chart.

There is something really wrong with these. It appears that the ruler ends are not square (see photos), so they are rounded upward. An angle must be taken at each end of the lines, starting at one millimeter from zero. There appears to be a pair of rulers printed end to end that were cut from them. It would be fine if they were cut on a jig at exactly 90 degrees so that they would be at precisely the right place in the correct place. However, it appears that someone at the factory thinks each one "ehh, that looks right to me. ". It could also be that they are taking accurate measurements Yipinve produces other instruments in addition to the ones we use.

The results are better than expected. In addition to consistency and repeatability, these scales provide that as well. I have not checked the accuracy of these scales since I only need to layout for calligraphy. This is a thin and stiff material. Each inch is divided into 1/16, 1/32 and 1/64 increments on one side. In the other side, there is a The number 20 is equal to zero. About 50 centimeters wide. In addition to marking both edges and sides, there are also two bar codes. This is thin enough that it does not "shadow" when laid.

As I am not aware of all the variables that may affect accuracy, I cannot provide a definitive answer. The only thing I have are Graphic Design rulers that are zeroed out, and they are not Machinist rulers. The accurate parallels I have noticed are when I compare them and set them up. This is a good thing. I should be able to use these for what I am going to use them for.

The set is nice and has accurate engraving. As he is a machinist, my husband was so impressed with the 64th of an inch marks that he took the two others to work.

It's a nice set of It comes with 2 12" rulers, which is nice no flipping is required. In addition to the small ruler, it's also well made.

It was less expensive to buy a set of 3 metal straight edges than to buy each one separately. They did show up, but it took over an hour for them to deliver and complete the job.
