In a nutshell These puck lights were bought for my basement workbench. I ordered six (6) of them. We couldn't find many options for lighting that has a remote control for turning it on and off and is battery powered. My initial reaction was to try this option, and so far I've been pleasantly surprised. I have had to make a few adjustments to suit my work area, but I've been pleased overall. Once batteries are installed, the puck lights are quite heavy and the weight of the lights combined with the non-directional lights creates a rather uncomfortable situation. When I first tried to adhere the lights to my bench, the flat surface I was trying to adhere to influenced my results. The lights will need to be secured somehow if you do not have a flat surface, so you may have to go to a craft/hardware store. Despite the fact that four (4) of my lights fell when I used the adhesive pads provided, I managed to secure them using my own methods. In order to protect the flat metal surfaces of the underside of my bench uprights, I was able to cut an adhesive tape into four strips that I used on the bottom two (2). It appears that all puck lights are working fine despite a couple of unsuccessful trial runs (and falls). I did receive one (1) that appears to have a light etched scratch/ crack in it, but that does not appear to affect the light's performance. In addition, the lights produce 80 lumens, which is more than enough light for my bench (even with four lights), and I also gave a high ranking to them when I was searching for them. In addition, you can use the remote control to turn the lights on or off individually if you spread them out. This is useful if you want to recognize where the fuse box in your house is (during power outages), or if you want to illuminate dark spaces such as a basement or attic that lack electricity. I don't think the brightness could have been any brighter, but it was still a good lumen count for a smaller, battery operated light Installs easily - no special knowledge required If the materials had been the same on a normal install, the installation would have taken no longer than 10 minutes, but it did take The issue of adhesion can be challenging. At one point I rigged it up so that the adhesive pad was flush against a piece of packing tape (wrapped around my mount bars) and it fell. I'm not sure if it was a problem with my installation or not. However, there are better adhesive options available than what I have in my hands. If an issue arises with either of the pads and you use the pads on each light, there are only two (2) small pads when two (2) regular size pads are provided. The small pads are quite useless and have little practical In light of those reasons, I rate the Adhesive factor at 2. 5/5. I rate this puck light a 4 of 5 because of its creative uses and the fact that it's extremely versatile, allowing users to control it via either remote control or manual control. The moment the occasion arose where I needed more lighting I would buy more. This product has a great design and is functional for its low price.

In a nutshell It's amazing how bright these lights are! I have them in both my bookcases and on my computer desk and they work great! I absolutely love how they look! With these lights, I've been able to keep one remote in my bedroom and one in my living room. I love having one remote in each room. By using them, dark areas that I'd like to be able to see in now become more visible, which my old setup was incapable of doing. As for these, I don't have any complaints, but if I were to suggest one improvement, it would be to improve the adhesive on the double-sided tape You can purchase stickers with both sides. Soon after I installed one of these light pucks, I got hit by one of them. I probably did it myself since I accidentally got the cable stuck in my hand for a moment before installing.

The third time I've attempted kitchen accent lighting in 10+ years, so I'm hoping this will be the last time I have to do it. As soon as I opened the first set, I felt it was putting out WAY too much heat, making me uncomfortable. They were not built well, though, so eventually I didn't even use them for up lighting on my bookshelves. The second set provided minimal light and were more suited to up lighting on my bookshelves. There is potential in both of them. In the first two pictures you can see my (small kitchen) with no overhead lights on. A new sink is shown to the right in the first pic, while a new sink is shown to the left in the second. As I mentioned, the remote doesn't control all four at the same time. I tried standing in the middle of them, but it seems I have to aim at one or the other with the remote and adjust two at a time. Again, small kitchen, not a major issue. There is a picture of mounting and two pictures of As I no longer have a lot of strength in my hands, the instructions to use enclosed sticky pads and to just twist the bottom section off to change the batteries didn't make sense to It was fortunate that the first placement left 3 firmly in place Three of the four magnets I plan to use could no longer be attached because of the magnets I attached I can easily turn the light off and on to change the batteries with just a switch. When it came time for the 4th light, I considered buying a magnet like the first three but decided on adhesive-backed hook and chain instead I already had loop tape on hand. The fourth picture is of that. have given the tapes time to adhere, and so far, it seems to work well. ) So far, I cannot comment on the color controls because I have not taken the time to properly test them. White lights are currently set to three brightness levels, which is fine for now.

As a first choice, I feel that white is nice and bright and I appreciate it. It may be necessary to use 2 puck lights if the lights are installed under a cabinet. Though, be sure to clean and dry the sides of the cabinets as well. Lights continue to go out on one of my ceiling lights. Easy-to-use remotes and fun options make this a fun game to play. The puck light will only turn off manually once all the color options have been selected. Don't lose them, however, as you'll have to go through all the color options first. It's just a matter of pressing the off button if you have the remote.

Losing the remote is not that bad since it's bigger than the remote for most such lights.
And now for the less than pleasant part A remote control receiver requires some power, so I took a few measurements to make sure I had enough power. When the unit is in standby mode, it uses less than 0W. The media 8ma A white light source at full power has a current of 40ma, a single color or partial power has a lower current. You can assume that 2 days at standby is the same as 1 hour at full brightness if the lights are left on for a long period of time. Batteries will run out about 3 months after they've been installed. I have a lot of puck lights on my shelves and their standby current is lower than many of them Depending on the samples, some can be as low as four times. Until you need it, use a piece of plastic to break the connection between the two batteries if they will only be periodically used. The battery drain for the standby mode is therefore greater on the battery, but it is much more entertaining for young children.

I like the way the lights look in my liquor cabinet, they add even more elegance. As well as the different colors that are used to celebrate different occasions, like green for Saint Patrick's Day or red for Christmas for example.
