Questions & Answers

Is there a way to make them dim even more dimly than they do now? They're still too bright even on the lowest setting on my dimmer switch. ?

There is no dimmer on these LED fixtures; instead, there is a simple on/off switch on the bottom. If the light fixture is hardwired to another dimmer, the amount of dimming you can achieve is determined by the dimmer, not the light fixture. It must be a LED dimmer, not a regular incandescent dimmer, for it to dim properly; otherwise, it will remain bright. Because LEDs only work in one of two states, you should never dim them; instead, use an LED dimmer to control the on and off rate. If you set it too low, all of your LEDs will appear to be flickering. When you install most LED dimmers, you can adjust the minimum done rate. I can, however, dim these LED fixtures to the point where they appear to be turned off. Check to see if you're using the right dimmer.

Is there any sort of wiringknockout in the middle? I'd like it for a closet ceiling mount, with the wiring coming in from the middle rather than the end. Thanks?

Yes, there is; I installed it in a closet, and it's a fantastic use for this light. The knockout is simple to remove.

Is this a battery-operated device or does it have a plug (not shown)?

There is no power source available. Unless you put one in, there will be no plug. These are connected to the light circuit directly.

Is the lens cover durable and washable for light splatters in the kitchen?

Yes, they're strong enough, but the lens is a smooth, relatively soft plastic surface, so I wouldn't clean them with anything abrasive (and wouldn't put them near anything that generates a lot of heat). We purchased four of these to replace old fluorescents of similar size, and they are a huge improvement, producing plenty of warm light.

Excellent lighting fixture
5/5

This model was installed at a 24" height. The temperature of the light is 3,000 degrees Kelvin. It has a nice brightness. As shown in the image, there is an on/off switch. There's not much more to say about the light now that it's been installed (for about two days). The light is slim enough to fit nicely under the cabinets, though a thicker one would have worked fine in my case because it's mounted fairly far back. br>br>The installation was the most important factor for me. Everything you'll require is included in the package. (didn't need) wire nuts and screws; Connector for strain relief. br>br>The mounting holes were in the same locations as the screw holes from the previous crappy florescent fixture; I only mention this to emphasize that standardization is taken into account when manufacturing the fixture's body. Furthermore, it's a slim fixture with a knockout in the back. The center of the fixture isn't the standard 3/8" size found in electrical boxes, for example. The issue is that some manufacturers do not provide a smaller strain relief connector to fit the smaller knockout hole. One such connector is included by this manufacturer. You can also use a step-by-step approach. up bit to widen the small hole so the 3/8" strain relief connector will fit. I've done it before on other fixtures, and if the knock-on effect is strong enough, I'll do it again. If the hole isn't perfectly centered, it might be too close to the fixture's edge, and you'll end up with a mess. That is not the case with this fixture, so everything is fine. When the florescent bulbs in my existing fixtures fail (they're supposed to last X number of years), I'll definitely buy more of these. I'm never going to buy another fluorescent light. This is the way to go with LED lighting.

Non- This is a major pain because of standard connections
3/5

Simply put, this fixture has knockouts that are smaller than industry standard, making finding a connector that fits them impossible. My local specialty electric shop, as well as Lowes, do not stock them. The fixture only comes with one connector, but you'll need two if you want to string these lights together. You can't find a replacement anywhere unless you order it in advance and wait weeks. If they're going to use non-renewable energy sources, Standard sizes that aren't available in stores; perhaps two should be included in the box rather than one. This is merely an idea.

These LED under cabinet fixtures work well and I have no complaints about them for the price
5/5

Although the actual write-up stated that the CRI (Color Rendering Index) was greater than 90, when I received the product, it was clearly labeled in the 80s. It may not matter to you, but I was using them to provide a more accurate representation of the objects I was lighting. The higher the CRI, the more true-to-life colors are represented. Despite the fact that they were advertised in the 1990s, they do not appear to carry them, as all of the ones I received were labeled in the 1980s and could not be used. So I can't say it's a bad product; it was simply misrepresented.

It's a lovely light, but it's a little difficult to put together
4/5

Except for a section of the installation and the lack of a PDF, I like everything about it. "Disassemble fixture by pressing at the bottom of the cover and pulling cover up and out the notch from the base," according to item 2 of the installation instructions. br>Isn't that as clear as a bell? There's a wind-up here. Three "cover catches" along the edge of the base are not identified in the instructions (two are shown but not identified). Furthermore, the term "cover" is deceptive; All of the electronics are located in the part referred to as the cover. To access the mounting holes in the base, the "cover" must be removed. The trick is to squeeze the "cover" firmly enough to pull the cover's edge away from three catches on the base. I'd make a YouTube video if the vendor sent me something for free.

Low- a low-cost substitute for more expensive lighting A fluorescent kitchen light that was hardwired was replaced - The buzzing had gotten out of hand
5/5

PROS: br>br>
- Low- cost: This item is significantly less expensive than similar under-counter lighting. \
- There will be no buzzing: There is no noise when compared to fluorescent lighting!br>- Bright: The light is bright and does not appear to be underpowered.
- Temperature is comfortable: The lighting is more comfortable for me than fluorescent lighting. CONS: br>br>
- Installation Instructions: It's a little tricky, and you'll need to know how to use wire nuts and work with Romex cable. Depending on how the previous lighting was installed (if replacing existing light), it may be even more difficult. I had to cram the wires into a small space on the inside of the light.
- Basic: Other similar lights have settings for brightness, temperature, color, and so on, but this is just a light with an on/off switch. There is no adjustment and the switch is not turned off. br>br>THE OVERALL IMPACT: br>br>THE OVERALL IMPACT:
High- quality light for a fraction of the price of similar items There are no advanced options available. As seen with fluorescent lighting, there is NO BUZZING.

The light is causing problems
3/5

Despite the fact that the light was professionally installed by a licensed electrician, I had problems with it. I attempted to contact the company right away. I had to hire an electrician to remove the light because there is no customer service. I spent over $300 on installation and removal of this $31 LED light, and now I have nothing to show for it! Avoid at all costs, particularly because there is no customer service and no one will respond to your emails.
