The lights are for the food and water bowls of my aging dog. Though she is blind, she is still able to see shadows when there is enough It is her preference to eat in the evening. My lights were purchased from a local retailer. The stickers were easy to install. All you needed to do was peel and stick them. In this case, one fell off the wall while peeling the paint While they do work most of the time with motion detection, it's kind of spotty at best and may not stay lit continuously. It can be difficult to control the light because it flickers and is inconsistent at times. It is good news that my sweet old dog can locate food and water when it is properly functioning. The bad news is that I now need to paint my wall and I have no idea if I will be able to match the color. However, I really like the fact that my dog will be able to maintain a little bit more of her independence with it.

In order to provide five stars, I would have given this product five stars if I had not had to purchase a second set due to a previous failure. This was purchased to use on my stairs, and it is the perfect solution. It has excellent motion-sensing ability, and it is bright. Having bought a set in April, I was able to install it easily. However, after about two months, one of the lights stopped working even when the batteries had been changed. So far, it seems to be working just fine and now I have an extra should I need it.

As for how these could get anything other than excellent ratings, I don't see how there might be an inconsistency in the manufacturing of the item. This product looks beautiful in dark cabinets with a reach-in I have a lot of back issues, and I have a lot of stair-related problems. That's all right. Batteries will cost an arm and a leg. As they are far brighter than they need to be, they burn through batteries too quickly. Each lights uses 3 AAA batteries. As they are highly sensitive to motion, if you go near them, you will trigger the alarm. It might be possible to minimize battery consumption by installing a photo sensor during the day.

One of the other two lights was completely defective, but the two that worked were fantastic I am very pleased with it! The quality of these products is poor, so I would not recommend purchasing them.
