I found this set of lights to be ideal for my application. It's bright and the motion detectors work well. The stairs were carpeted, so I had to place my lights on them. Due to the carpet thickness, the mounting plate was not ridged enough for easy installation. I had to purchase longer screws when I visited the hardware store. Even though I had to bake a cake, it would have been easier if I needed the lights to be on wood or some other solid ground surface. I like this design a lot!.
