Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our products. This is a plug-in. br>br> As a result, it is not possible to hardwire it into the system. It simply plugs into a wall outlet instead. However, instead of using the included remote control, you can control that outlet with a switch to turn the light on and off. The light can be dimmable to complete dimmability (1% - 100%) via the remote control and records the most recent brightness setting That is, when the wall switch or remote is used to turn it on or off, it will return to this setting. If an outlet is to be installed behind the artwork, we recommend using a recessed outlet mounting box such as the Arlington DVFR1W-R. 1 (you can find it on Amazon by searching here). When installed, this allows the power supply to be nearly flush with the wall, avoiding the numerous drawbacks of hardwired lighting. br>br>Our silver finish is a sandblasted matte with a slight luster, similar to the silver finish found on many Apple products. br>br>If you have any additional questions, please leave a comment below or call us at 1-888-888-888-888. 800- 561- 492 br>br>Thank youbr>- Customer Service at Situ Lighting

Selected User Reviews For Situ Lighting: Plug-in Vision Series Remote Controlled LED Art and Picture Light USA Made (Antique Bronze - 2700K, 17" Standard (Artwork up to 40"W x 40"T))
I purchased a 17" light and am very happy with it. It arrived quickly and was well-packaged. The light itself was simple to set up thanks to the included instructions. The light and arms are well-built, with a finish that matches the description. It's so handy to have a remote control. The only thing I'd change is that the light produced by the bulbs is on the cool side; I'd prefer it to be warmer. I would prefer a clear cord over a white cord, but overall, I am very pleased with this product and will be ordering more for the rest of my house in the future.
The moodiness of the landscape was amplified by the lack of light. We've been thinking about lighting it for 20 years, but we didn't want anything hanging below our plaster ceilings, let alone the repairs that would be required once the wiring was completed. More manufacturers are designing better art lighting as LED technology advances, but nothing as discreet as this, and I believe it would be difficult to match the quality and price of this fixture with another fixture. I'm blown away by the detailed instructions, the high quality of the product, the attractive packaging, the personal correspondence from the president included, and the speed with which it arrived. The fact that it is manufactured in the United States is a major selling point for me. It took me less than 15 minutes to set it up, and now I have a moody landscape! Thank you, Situ lighting; you saved me a lot of money on fixtures and electricians, and the end result is probably better than what I would have gotten otherwise. I was a little concerned about the 3000k because I prefer 2700 and didn't realize it was an option until it arrived, but it's fine; the 3000 is perfect. (I ordered the 43" length, by the way. ).
For a framed photograph, I purchased the standard size of 17". The photograph itself measured 30" wide by 20" high. The construction is of excellent quality. I spent about 15 minutes putting the frame together. It may take up to 20 minutes to install a wall. The instructions were easy to follow and included all necessary hardware. By pointing the light and adjusting the intensity with the remote control, the illumination can be adjusted. Everything is extremely practical. The image itself has a lot of fine detail that can only be seen in good lighting. The colors are extremely vibrant. The plug- In this situation, being in version was the best option; Batteries are not to be messed with. I have some other artwork that would benefit from one of this company's rechargeable versions.
This light was a pleasant surprise, and I'm glad I tried it instead of installing a recessed halogen lamp on the ceiling. It not only saved me from having to do a lot of sheet rock work in the ceiling and run wire through studs, but it also looks better than a halogen, which I didn't think was possible. br>br>The quality of the LEDs and the shade of light it produces are what really make this lamp worth the higher price tag. I didn't think you could get a light that was both warm and sharp at the same time, and the many levels you can dim it to really let you get the perfect amount of light to bring out the best in your painting. br>br>Installation was simple; however, because the plug is a DC adapter, it will protrude too far if your outlet is flush against the wall behind the painting, I purchased a recessed outlet to use behind the painting. If the painting is above an existing outlet and down towards the floor, it's very simple to add a new outlet. br>br>You have two options for mounting the light: on the wall (as I did) or on the painting itself if your frame is sturdy enough. I strongly advise that you hang it on the wall. They provide a template for you to use when marking the holes. Take your time, make sure the paper template is level (use painting tape to temporarily secure it to the wall), and you'll find it's not difficult to get it just right; the light does have some physical adjustment features that allow you to improve the fit. br>br>At first, I thought I'd made a mistake by purchasing this because there are so many other lights that are similar but less expensive, but it was well worth the money; the only flaw is the size of the remote control (which works flawlessly). It's one of those thin, small remote controls that's easy to misplace. Thankfully, this is in my office, and I'll keep the remote on my desk at all times.
So I went to Situ and placed an order for two. 17", 1- 30", 1- 43". One had a minor flaw, and the other was dead on arrival. When I called the office, they replaced them right away. I'm a big fan of the lighting. I ordered Arlington boxes based on a review I read to muffle the impact of the paintings. The transformer was snugly encased in them. As a former cameraman, I think it would be cool if there were some sort of "barn doors" on the sides to prevent spillage, as well as a piece of metal that protrudes from the bottom to "flag" light from casting a shadow on the wall. This is merely an idea. The remotes work without having to point them at the light, so I can turn them on from my couch and have a light in the hall turn on. The packaging and delivery were excellent. In every way, this is a first-rate company.
We bought a large painting. approximately 3 feet x 5 feet tall We don't usually buy art, so spending an additional $300 to light it seemed extravagant. It is, however, well worth the effort. The Situ light has infinitely adjustable light levels as well as a set of preset levels, allowing you to simply turn it on and select your desired level. A timer is also included. Lights every inch of our large painting in a consistent manner, from top to bottom. Mounting is a breeze. We went with a frame mount, but it can also be mounted on the wall. We simply plugged it into a standard outlet that happened to be located directly beneath where we hung the picture, making it simple. We bought a stick-on cord cover that can be painted to match the wall, making it unobtrusive; we looked at a lot of much less expensive lights, but they all had such mixed reviews. We also considered the Situ cordless, but the painting is quite tall, so turning it on and charging it would have been difficult. The corded model includes a remote, which we like. There will be no disappointments.
