Questions & Answers

The brightness of the light can be adjusted, can it not?

Thanks for stopping by! If you choose to use the Rest app, you can adjust the brightness of the light. As well as the physical buttons on the Rest, there is a button for increasing or decreasing To reach our support team, please send an email Feel free to contact us with any questions you might have! The WiFi router in our home is automatically turned on in the morning when we turn it off at night. What would the timing and program of my programs be affected by that?

This is the short answer You should not encounter any issues with the device operating as expected in your scenario. You can continue to use the program without issues if you lose the internet connection. The longer answer is In fact, I've tested both the device with and without WiFi because we take it with us when we travel. As you can see, I found a few things. It is generally agreed that there are three fundamental Powered On 1) There is an active light or sound on the device. 2) Settop to standby (Tap to put it out of use or set it to another preset) It is currently off, but the clock is still running (Tap on the top to turn it *3) The power is off Taps are no longer detected on the device or clock displays are no longer displayed. Holding the two outside buttons on the bottom may cause this when the battery dies or when the battery runs out. While the device is in states 1 or 2, it continues to operate normally if the WiFi connection is lost. Pressets will be available as they normally are, and schedules will continue to run as they normally do. -If you turn the device back on after being in power state 3 and no WiFi is available, the device will use the default settings that were there when it was originally packaged. It effectively acts then as a brand new device. Also, the clock will display no numerals. If WiFi is re-established, then the device will begin again After the sync has taken place, the presets will be available again and the clock will be displaying the time. In my opinion, I find this to be one of the biggest shortcomings of the device, as I prefer to turn it off completely when packing from travel to prevent accidentally turning it on and cause some hassle when traveling to places without WiFi or with WiFi that requires obtaining a login (such as hotels).

Are you able to connect a 2nd device with the app? I would like to use this to control both my son's and daughter's rooms. ?

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your inquiry. It is possible to have more than one Rest+ within the Rest app, and they can be controlled separately. The first time you open the app, you will see a list of devices you can connect to and control from it. When you name each of your devices, you will be able to choose the desired one and then control it manually. You can then go back to your devices list and select another device, etc. Feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you have further questions. Feel free to contact us with any questions you might have! We'd like to thank the Hatch team for their support!

Are the lights dimmed or always on when the clock strikes?

I appreciate your inquiry. This clock has a brightness control - you can adjust it in a variety of ways If you want, you can turn it off completely.

I find this disappointing
3/5

This takes two minutes to complete The monitor and way do not work properly. This product is just one star because of the level of dissatisfaction and cost. The features that function effectively are very cool, but they aren't worth $30 - $40. A maximum of $40 would be most appropriate, Tax) Honestly, I am a tired parent with very high expectations for this device, and I am so disappointed that I The pros are as follows The following is a translation - Although the color and sound programming are neat, those features can be found on the classic model as well. The following is a translation - Adding the battery and clock is a good idea. However, there are some cons, such as The following is a translation - A two-way radio is the reason we got it. But it was so slow it had no use. Our 2-way radio had a 2-second communication time, which was totally useless There was a 4 second delay, making it impossible for me to respond or hear my daughter as soon as she responded, therefore why is this even necessary? When I thought I hadn't heard her, my daughter got out of bed or repeated herself three or four times (eventually yelling and waking up her brother). My attention was captivated by a loading symbol rotating in a circle and I wasn't able to respond until it was too late. The following is a translation - After you changed to low-contrast, the colors weren't as consistent as they should have been The brightness of the sun. When I changed the brightness so that I wouldn't keep my daughter awake at night, my daughter selected a color she liked, but the color changed when I changed the brightness. In addition, it was impossible to keep a consistent color and The following is a translation - The monitor function also has a problem Because the monitor does not filter out the sound of the sound machine, you won't be able to hear anything through the screen when you're using the sound machine. Consequently, I couldn't hear my daughter over the monitor because the background noise was so loud and constant. There is a good chance this product was released before it was fully ready. I think cheap baby monitors can tune out white noise. They might be able to fix some major glitches if they do so. The following updates have been made I am still using it 1 year later, since my daughter became attached to it, and we decided not to return it. In an attempt to improve/fix these issues, I have reached out to Hatch+ support a couple of times, but I have received incredibly unhelpful answers that were completely in a different league Do you know if it's possible to turn it off and back on again? Would you be able to hear better if you turned down the sound machine? Putting it all together, my recommendation after one year is If you want your kid to get attached to something, then you should buy a cheaper nightlight rather than a $95 one that doesn't work as advertised.

I had high hopes, but was disappointed
3/5

My two-year-old will be able to use the time to rise feature to train him not to get up too early when he grows up. Though this is a great concept and has some great features, it could do so much more and be much more customizable for $90. The first thing to keep in mind is that there are preset profiles (light and colors) that you can use, but you cannot change them. To use my own profile when I like, I should be able to create it myself. If you'd like, you can set up three different schedules (awake, nap, Although I would just like to randomly use the profile I like during the day (like when I am training my two year old to recognize the color for wake and the color for light) it takes time to set up each time. Moreover, you cannot turn the clock off. This light is so bright that I cover it at night so that my son does not get Additionally, there should be a remote to use near the device. I am not accustomed to keeping a phone on me when I use this device (particularly at night and in the early morning hours when I am in my pajamas). The fact that I have to go downstairs to grab my phone just to control this is so inconvenient. volume and brightness buttons on it, but they are hard to find on the back of the machine and really annoying in the middle of the night when it's Hatch's not to blame either, but after a month my son has been getting up early every morning the same way. Let me say that it won't work like a miracle. Time and more training will hopefully help when we see results, but as of now, there hasn't been much progress. Last but not least, why hadn't this been a bluetooth speaker as well for this price? You must be kidding me! If you paid 90 dollars for it, you should have been able to play your own music (lullabies, for example). The next time I have a baby, I want something that's more cost-effective given the features it offers.

I returned to the original Hatch Rest because Rest+ was too annoying
3/5

Hatch Rest and Rest+ are excellent products that combine many baby and kid accessories into one product. This is such a great Although I wanted to love the Rest+, it didn't live up to my expectations. Why they didn't simply add Bluetooth connectivity for users to choose, as opposed to replacing it with WiFi connectivity, is beyond me. Because Rest+ does not work over hotel WiFi, even though I have an individual login for my room, I had no choice but to manually log in every time to use it. Therefore, it is not as convenient to travel as it is advertised to be. We also lost our WiFi during a temporary power outage, which caused Rest+ to freeze. I was told to set up the WiFi all over again, but I wasn't able to press any of the buttons. My battery ran out too quickly so I had to let it run out of power to switch it In exchange for $30 I'm not sure that you gain enough to compensate for what you lose with 40 more than the original Rest. I would probably find the Rest+ features more useful if I had an infant. It ended up being returned and I will go back to what I originally bought.

You may encounter a freeze if it is unreliable, flaky, or unpredictable
3/5

There are a number of ways to send an e-mail. Despite the fact that it freezes out of the blue frequently, Hatch updates all of their firmware regularly (which takes a very long time to complete), and does not have good WiFi range (all of my other WiFi products work in this room but this one does not). This is a complete waste of time and money.

The original is better, but not quite as good as this In the remaster, the volume is lower than in the original
3/5

Although I had hoped to like this, I would not recommend it for the price. Did you change the settings to reduce the volume because you wanted it to be quieter? It makes my daughter happy when I play.
