It is a huge hit with my boys, aged 11 and 14, who both love the Galaxy moon lamp. As soon as I opened the box, I found that the stand was simple to assemble and the remote was easy to operate. Despite not having any major complaints, I had expected it to be more of a standard white or light color when 'OFF', not as dark as it is now. It is expected that the white would be more true white/ silvery (like the moon glow) when it is turned on. Those who keep falling apart the small wooden ‘stand’ that it sits on are probably going to glue it permanently together. A loose magnet keeps preventing it from holding together. The various color changes and the "light modes" is why it attracts my son, and it keeps him entertained for quite some time. am thinking of buying another one but I will look for a larger one and if it's possible see if there is any way I can get a whiter/ more realistic moon glow.

I found it easy to open and assemble this stand, although the magnetic base is difficult to assemble as it comes apart easily if too much pressure is applied. However, that is not a major problem.
