Nuvo Lighting 60/4956 Cove Neck One Light Hanging Lantern 100 Watt A19 Max. Clear Seeded Glass Textured Black Outdoor Fixture

Nine of these lights were purchased by me This is the black wall mount version of the device. I bought 6 items from Wayfair and 3 from Amazon. Our home is equipped with them all, since I personally installed them. Our overall reaction to these lights was positive, both in terms of quality and appearance. Currently, I am unable to make an opinion on how well they will withstand weather, as it is still too early to have an informed opinion. Metal and glass are both used in all of them. Several parts are made of plastic, but none are cheap. There are no very good instructions included, and they are of a generic nature, too. The glass panels are not supplied with instructions on how to install them In addition, I would like to point out the following 1

As described in the photo, the black finish is supposed to make the item appear aged or hammered. As part of the process, black paint is applied over the top of the base coat to give the aged / hammered / textured look - with a splatter coat of black overtop. It is smooth on the outside, but not on the inside. * Note 2 It is possible that you will find older comments regarding damaged glass that was installed. As of now, it appears that glass will not be installed in the items shipped. It appears as if the four glass panels are wavy This is nice to look at. Firstly, you need to remove the four screws / mounting tabs and then mount the panels in the frames. Once you have placed the panels into the frames, you can reinstall the screws / mounting to fit the glass panels properly, you need the facing side of each panel "behind" the panel to the opposite side, and the back of that same panel "right in front" of the panel on the other side. When viewing the unit from above, the top edge of the panel on the right should be behind the panel on the left, and the top edge on the left should be in front of the other panel on the left. Clipping the glass panels together is okay, but the panels do not fit completely tight in all fixtures. There is also some noticeable "movement" of the panels across each other. 1.

3. By separating the two main parts, I was able to focus more clearly. This mounting bracket is made from aluminum and has a four-sided bulb holder attached. When installing, reduce the weight as much as possible The square light bulb section is the first place where I installed glass panels. Following that, the flat mounting base was held in my hand as I made wiring connections, then the mounting base was attached to the wall, and then I attached square bulb holders to the mounting 4* B* C. To make every section of every fixture look perfectly straight, I had to gently "bend" or "straighten" several pieces on each fixture. As far as the light itself goes, it is fine, and I had no problems with the glass like many other reviewers did. As I recall, the four pieces of glass are not all the same size, though they must be interlocked. In the instructions, this is not explained at all. I had a problem with the part that attaches to the wall because the piece is very large, at 4 inches wide. A mounting block will be needed if you have vinyl siding. The mounting block will have to be scalloped so it interlocks with the vinyl siding if you want the whole thing to look good. The short version is that 8" mounting blocks do not exist in scalloped, 8" blocks. I have attached the picture of the current lights and their mounting blocks so you can understand what I mean when I say there is a scalloped mounting block.

This light was the result of searching for a while for a new porch light. I wanted to have a modern style and this fit the bill. The way the fixture sits with regards to the mounting base plate is very nice. I didn't feel as though it was cheaply constructed and I expected it to be of decent construction. I did not encounter any difficulty fitting the glass pieces once I analyzed all the details. You should be able to use pretty much any type of bulb with this.

The glass panels slide in and are held in by cheap clips located on the top. As well, the clips need to be bent up so you can install the glass, and then bent down again after the glass is installed. Corner clips are the only ones on the page. Each glass panel should be held in place by four retainers. However, the top corner of the card has just a clip that cannot be bent totally downward. There seems to be a possibility that glass might fall out the bottom of the light fixture when it is installed. All the reviews about the broken glass at Nuvo need to be read so the fixture can be redesigned! Buy this fixture at your own risk. The design is poor. There are tiny nuts that are attached to the bottom to the top threads of the bolt about a quarter There are no bolts to secure the bottom glass unit, so the unit could fall out. You can turn the top bolt as you turn the nuts on top, and it will go down into the unit as you turn the nuts. Therefore, it is impossible to tell whether you are threading on the nut or not. As a result, they were difficult to thread on since they were so cheap and poorly made. In the end, I had to get new nuts. Also, the bolts provided on the cross bar for the electric box are too short. I had to replace them as well. Aside from the fact that the engineers were able to despoil more than the rest of the fixture, the only thing amazing about it is how it didn't fall apart when This unit is not covered by the instructions that came with it. There is no link between the instructions and the The design and quality of this thing are both poor.

The cost is low, but the result is impressive. All of the metal in the fixture is warped (as if it were bent). The error was not noticed until after installation, and I am not inclined to return or exchange

Frankly, I'm not really feeling that well. Each of the four glass panels has to be inserted yourself, which took a lot of time and effort.
