In spite of only using them a few times, I needed to work on wiring behind the wall mounted TV during two blackouts. Suddenly, one of them stopped working - maybe an issue with the switch, is was a bit finicky right from the start. I was able to operate that switch. Often I had to close it down and reopen it to see it start working, but I heard it click. One of the two of them was working last week, since we had a brown out. The batteries were already charged, so I swapped them out to see if it would work. The batteries were changed in the second unit and they worked again, so the second unit appeared to be defective. I hit the return window so I'm out of luck. In the future, I would likely get one of a different design.

It is a false advertisement! There is no indication in the manual that it will last 30 hours, only 8 hours. The seller claims that the shipping takes 12 hours on the question section as well. According to others on the question section, the last battery is the 3AA alkaline battery. It's 10 hours. In my opinion, I would have returned this item for false advertising if I had realized how much of a difference 30 hours of light reduced to approximately 8 hours. That's what the packaging looked like before I threw it away.
