There is a connection to the internet. We live in a rural area, so I'm blaming that for the controller's failure to connect; aside from that, the lights provide a nice accent touch. I bought two different models, one of which fit under our railing board and the other of which I used on our steps and along the exterior wall of our house. It's very simple to connect the lights in a daisy chain. They haven't been in my possession for long, so I'm hoping they will last through the rainy season in Florida.
These lights have a great look to them. assemble the front porch stairwell Easy to install and connect; the hole was drilled with a 7/8" spade bit, which worked perfectly. The lights were simple to install but secure enough to stay in place. I'm going to get some more for my deck stairwell. Update. br>br>Excellent product. br>br> After having a two-story storage barn built behind the house, I went out and bought another set. I was planning on getting a motion light for the front, but these do a great job of lighting it up. They're set on a timer and look great in the ramp. The front of the barn needs a lot of illumination. I'll most likely get more for the back deck in the near future, as I had planned.
I bought these by mistake, and the seller requested that I photograph the lights in exchange for a full refund. They're a little smaller than I anticipated, but they'll do nicely as a shelf or niche light.
We sharpened one end of the pipe, drilled a hole in the side for the wire, and wired them together to create extremely bright sidewalk marker lights. It's simple to make and much less expensive than buying lights from a store.
It was important to us because it would keep us safe. They're ideal for descending the stairs, but they're a little distracting when ascending. It was not difficult to set them up. It's what we refer to as our runway.
A photocell switch has been added that activates the system. When I was re-wiring the stairwell, I installed these recessed lights along the sidewall. Taking the carpeted stairwell to the oak stairwell. The lighting is incredible. A photocell switch that turns on at dusk and off at dawn has been added. Provide a component kit for dusk to dawn AND a dimmer, as a suggestion to the manufacturer. The lights are bright enough and use very little power, which is fantastic! Deck railing and patio walkway installation will be the next project.
When I first got it, it was fantastic, and I had it installed on my brand new deck in the summer of 2018. Half of the lights have been turned off for a year. It had only been used for about 1000 hours. br>The picture shows the left one in good condition, while the right two have already burned out.
It's ideal for illuminating your deck or patio.
