light! UPDATE: They are still performing admirably. I planned to buy two more for $49 each. 95, but it appears that there is only one left at that price; I'll wait until they go on sale. br>br>Easy to set up; br>br>Affordable; br>br>Easy to 2 have been installed above the garage - I live in a house with a low roof, so it's only about 9 feet tall, but it's very bright. I've left at 5 a. m. on two separate occasions. It was still on at 3 a. m. I didn't use the remote and instead set it to dim (which is bright) so that it would stay on all night or for as long as most people do - about 4- Not 12 hours, but 5! Wow. When I looked out the kitchen window one night, I mistook the floodlight for a light. It wasn't the solar lights, it was the other way around! I'm going to buy six more to cover my half-acre home. a workshop There are no streetlights, and it is pitch black on moonless nights. br>Phone is outdated, and the photos appear to be Loch-like. Shots taken by Ness Imagine two points of light shining brightly in the middle of the night in complete darkness. Yes, they have sun all day, but even on cloudy days, it lasted until after I had gone to bed.
This motion was created by me. I installed a detection solar light on the roof fascia over my woodpile, so I won't have to carry a flashlight to get wood for my fireplace, and I'll be able to get it with both hands - This is an excellent application! In just a few minutes, you'll be able to mount it and set it up.
This is a substantial, street-level building. light- like light, which works well to light up my pool when we go swimming at night. I had to hire a handyman to install it on the frame of the screen that covers the pool in order to get it high enough to light the entire area, which is why I gave it a lower rating for ease of installation. However, I am very pleased with it, and the complaints made by others about the remote are unimportant to me because I have it set to Mode 1 and leave it there all the time; if I need to change it, I simply stand underneath it and it changes easily. I'll update this review if anything changes since I've only had it installed for two days.
The light works perfectly, and in my installation, which is 15 feet above ground, it illuminates a 25-foot-wide by 15-foot-deep area. We use mode 2, which turns on full brightness for about 15 seconds and stays on as long as you move around during that time; I wish it would stay on a little longer without movement, but it's something you can get used to and compensate for. br>Because I thought the hardware was a little light, I added extra side bracing to the mounting arm. We do get some strong winds now and then.
It's quite satisfactory. The light came with a set of small silver screws, which are useless. I installed them with a manual screwdriver, and the heads of the screws had rounded off to the point where I couldn't turn them any further. Also useless was the tiny silver screw that secures the light's neck to the mounting post. It was sloppy and wouldn't go through the hole. I believe I ordered the wrong size, but I was able to fix it by replacing it with a different screw and forcing it in. It works fine, and the light is bright enough to keep a dark area of my yard well lit at night (my side yard is normally dark), but it sucks on cloudy days because the solar light cannot fully charge, and the light is dim at times.
Very simple to set up and perfect for lighting the entrance to the garage or back porch without the use of electricity or cords. I would buy another even if it only lasted a year, and I anticipate it lasting much longer.
I've tried a few others, but this one outperforms them all. When you get within 20 feet of it, it automatically switches to "Bright" mode. This is an excellent purchase.
For some reason, the first light would continue to flash on mode 1: 30 seconds of brightness, 2 seconds of darkness, and so on. It could be temporarily fixed by turning it off and on or resetting it. A replacement light works in the same way; I have it set to mode 3 with no motion sensor, and it works fine. br>br>Aside from the aforementioned issue, the remote only works when you are almost under the light. The light is shaky because the tiny bolts that secure it to the extension bar don't fit snugly. To make it right, I needed to go to Home Depot and purchase a 1 1/2 inch bolt, nut, and washer ($4 total, and difficult to find). br>br>I'm not sure if I'll be able to live with the light as it is now, with only one mode on. It's possible that it, like its predecessor, will be returned soon.
