For the price, this is an excellent product; however, please keep your expectations in check. These aren't meant to replace regular powered lights, and they won't turn your deck/patio/balcon into a daytime oasis; instead, they provide a pleasant ambiance and make my balcony stand out. Additionally, they are simple to set up.

So, exactly a year ago (in January 2019), I placed an order for these. All but two of them have failed in less than a year. br>It doesn't appear that the charging panels or the LEDs have failed. It's the shoddy rechargeable AA battery inside; fortunately, the battery can be replaced; however, for the price, you'd think the included AA rechargeable batteries would last longer than a few months. br>Moreover, the two that are still operational have a capacity that is about a third to a quarter of what it was before. br>In essence, if you're going to buy these lights, you should also get a good set of rechargeable AA batteries. Each one requires a single battery. br>br>In addition, one of the fixtures refuses to work even with a brand new battery, which should be factored into your project for switching to solar powered accent lighting for your yard. br>br>In addition, one of the fixtures refuses to work even with a brand new battery, which should be factored into your project for moving into solar powered accent lighting for your yard. br>Next, I'm going to put the remaining 7 fixtures to the test with brand new high-quality rechargeable batteries to see how many of them will actually charge a good battery, but I'm not holding my breath. br>br>Also keep in mind that this is purely decorative lighting. It's not particularly bright, but it's sufficient to see your footing and avoid stepping in the dark. The photos I attached make it appear brighter than it is, and they were taken with brand new, fully charged batteries. br>br>After all is said and done, I don't recommend these lights unless you're willing to spend a little more money on better batteries. Even so, it isn't a good deal.

  My set arrived in the mail. I left it charging all day. Two of the six are unusable. A third turns on and off with a click-clack sound inside; it turns on for a second and then turns off. See the video for more information. It's functional if you shake it. I wish I'd had better luck with these lights than some of the other reviewers. br>It's time to make some changes. The seller contacted me and offered me a replacement. Customer service is outstanding.

Because my gutters were a little too high, we had to drill the fixture into the house's side. On one side of the house, I used number eight. I think it's bright enough for me to know someone isn't staring at me in the dark, and that's enough light for me. It's a little brighter, but my camera couldn't quite capture the full effect of the brightness. The lights had been charged and were ready to use when they arrived. That's about 10 feet off the ground, according to my calculations. I'm pleased with them and would order more if I needed them. The clip has a small average drill size hole, which is how we were able to connect ours without using the gutter, and I'll unscrew and take them with me when I move. A complete success! br>br>Home Depot wanted $15 for two identical items, which I declined.

These lights were appealing to me. Installing it was a breeze. For my purposes, it is sufficiently bright.
But. Three of the four I've tried haven't worked out. As a result, I am unable to recommend them for long-term outdoor use.

The title is pretty self-explanatory. If you've read this far, you should be able to answer your own questions. My experience has been that for the "lighted perimeter look," one will suffice; however, if you want a "spot light" over your steps or porch, one will not suffice. We put two next to each other, which is close to what I'm looking for, but three next to each other would look tacky. One screw makes it simple to attach to gutters. Check to see if they're securely fastened. Wind will easily move them if not completely off, the battery life is great, and overall I love them after climbing up the ladder a few times to replace them in the desired location. Yes, I would recommend it, but keep in mind that if you're trying to "light up" stairwells or walkways, you'll need more than you think!.

DO NOT BUY, IT WILL NOT LAST, AND IT IS CHEAP. UPDATE 9- I wrote a review a couple of days ago, but it has yet to be published. So I charged all 8 lights on the porch for 2 days, then brought in 2a DARK RM where I measured the dim lites Lum meter (I've been doing photography for 30 years) and found 2almost Dead, didn't charge or have a bad batt, but the readings of 35or less on the other 7 were a big disappointment. These are about the same brightness as a 7W nitelite, which isn't very bright. ** 4awhile I was looking at a 6pack of these gutter lites, which was a little pricey, but I found an 8pack and ordered it. They arrived two days later, and I immediately noticed that the box had been opened prior to the tape seal being cut. Then, as I opened it, I noticed that the brackets were all loose in the box, and that some of them had worked their way onto the SOLAR PANELS' faces, scratching a couple of them. 1 had the batt half out and the snap-on lid was open backwards. 100%sure of a return in the past. However, as I examined the lights, I noticed that each has only one batt (other models have two), so I expected them to be dim. The plastic is VERY CHEAP n THIN, so if you drop it, it will shatter, and the hot sun will destroy these in 6 months. I turned on the brightest one in my small 1/2 bathroom, which was completely dark, and it barely lit the ceiling, which told me that, as other reviews have stated, they are not bright enough to light the ground up from the gutter. I'd keep four deck lites or something if they weren't used and scratched up, so dim, and only had one battery. However, the price is only $36. These aren't worth a lot of money at all. As a result, I'll be returning. Don't waste your money on these; instead, invest in a better set with dual batteries and higher-quality plastic; I'm already on the lookout.

I use them along the gutters on the front of my house and along the wooden fence in the backyard. They've been on for a long time, and the brightness of the lights hasn't dwindled. I'm going to order another eight to increase the number of "free" security lights on my property.
