A round base cover has a diameter of about 4 inches. One foot and seventeen inches.
It hasn't worked with any motion lights I have tried. Since these have served me well for years, I am going to order more. My mother and I cut the vacuum cleaner power cords off on garbage days, so I can easily install the vacuum without removing the power cord. To get to a breaker box, you do not have to use heavy wire. It is not necessary to hire an electrician.
On the top of the base plate is the photocell.
In one it is dusk to dawn in the other it is full power.

This is a wonderful light unit in general. It has a few problems. It is difficult to store the wiring inside the casing (no room on the inside of the unit) since there is nearly no room between it and the wall. The lights were mounted directly to the wood roof eave, and the service wire was simply pushed through the eave. Because of this, I had to buy the Sigma 143854WH round all-weather cover for the lights. The wiring junction box to which you'll mount the lights in your home will be the one you need to use if you have one already installed. In spite of this, I doubt you could mount the lights directly to a wall without a cover. Two, I was not satisfied with the way the unit was installed to the crossbar provided. A tubular bolt/screw intended to go upwards through the center of the unit in order to be screwed on top of the included central screw or screws seemed too short to reach the threads of the central screw (mounted downward through the crossbar). In order to overcome this, I unscrewed the central screw from the crossbar, and then used that to directly screw upwards through the unit into the crossbar that I had mounted to br>No screws are provided. The wire nuts are standard. It is very easy to use the lights. Compared with the old fixture, the light provided is much whiter, rather than the yellower hue of the incandescent PAR30 bulbs. They are also much more energy efficient since they are LEDs. azimuth and elevation of each globe can be adjusted by the unit about 90 degrees. In this case, the phone camera doesn't quite capture the light. At this distance, there is a fair amount of light. The light may not be enough to read by, but it should be enough to make out your surroundings. Summary of what I was looking for in a replacement unit these were the features I was looking for. Due to the lack of a light sensor, these must be switched on and off manually. It is recommended.
This is what you need if you're tired of climbing the ladder to replace those T3 halogen bulbs. I have been installing LED bulbs and fixtures inside FAR Manor for a while, and now I am working on the exterior. Three of them were bought, and two of them are already In a few minutes that bulb will burn out and I'll get #3. The steps below will be familiar to anyone who has ever changed a light fixture. The switch (or breaker) must be turned off, the old fixture must be removed, and the new fixture installed. It's true, however, that replacing the entire fixture doesn't take that much longer when you consider the overhead - getting the ladder in place, using tissues to prevent contaminating the T3 bulb, prying the glass off the old fixture, etc. It uses about a seventh of the power of a 150W T3 halogen, which has a much brighter light. Taking a look at the picture, one can see how well the light reaches across that distance. If there are two heads, a good guess should give you a good combination of light coverage. The only things I don't like about this fixture are To avoid the heads pointing more or less in the same direction you have to turn them in strange positions. *2) I'm not sure if the plastic housing would hold up in the outdoors. On the other hand, the two first installations are on northern-style trees. There are no eaves, and all the planned installations will take place under the To put it another way, they should be relatively healthy- A sheltered environment. Her daughter Dearest estimated they would last 28 years, and well beyond that. . . Even if I live that long, I hope to be on this earth for a long time. The bottom line is if you forget, and leave these on all day, it will be just like leaving the old ones on for an hour. The costs won't be too high - if not in electric bills, at least in the convenience of not having to replace Get up the ladder one last time and replace all your old fixtures with these new ones. It won't hurt to give it a try.
It's been a pleasure to have two of my neighbors come for a visit since I installed it on my front porch and back yard. They were both unhappy with the intense amounts of light these project. These are not understatements, they are ridiculously bright. But that's why I bought them, that's why they're so bright. My objective was to upgrade the lighting in the area since there were some crimes in the area. In a location of an older, dimmer light, they were easy to install. The wires were easy to connect and easy to mount. (To the delight of my neighbors) they are fairly adjustable. Having installed them, they felt pretty sturdy, but I am not sure how long they will last. Even though some of my neighbors are not happy with the results, I'm still happy with them. I no longer have any shadows to hide in, so anyone looking to creep around in the dark won't find any in my yard.
