The description said it was this big, but I didn't look very hard or measure it. Because I thought "they are all the same size", I didn't look hard and didn't There used to be a taller chimney in the lamp it's for (one with a broken chimney). I think it can draft as well as I expected, but is not as tall as the other one. It's just an emergency lamp, not one that is on display. Please check the size of your lamp before ordering. The quality was excellent. It was my mistake, so I decided to keep it since it was an emergency lamp and not one for display.
A cracked one broke while I was dusting, so I bought this to replace it. (It arrived well packaged and in the promised amount of time, and I can tell it's not the original, so that's My tiny oil lamp fits well with it. On the bottom rim, there is a tiny dimple that's hard to see but can be felt. The lamp is so small that you can't see it while it sits there. I'm good with that.
My lamp is beautiful, with bright, clear glass that looks like it was made for it. The seller packaged it extremely well, and I was concerned it would break in transit. However, it arrived in perfect condition, considering how delicate it looked. As I got the glass installed, I noticed that it held fingerprints to a certain extent, so once in place I had to carefully wipe it down with rubbing alcohol. In my opinion, you should use this if you need to replace it.
For the latest oil lamp in my wife's collection, the oil lamp chimney was the perfect match. I was pleased with the lamp even though it didn't have a chimney, since I had established that it dates to the mid to late 1800's.
It does not fit but that is my fault. It is not accurate to say free returns. Therefore, another had to be ordered. I think it is fine too and fits well. The fact that I can't return anything is just so frustrating to me. When the price doubles, the fun doubles as well.
It is an ideal display for all of us.
The company was not to blame, it was my fault. When I went to measure I didn't have the measurements correct. They sent me a return slip and I was reimbursed without any issues.
