I bought it to use as an awning light for the front of my 18-foot-tall building. The overall brightness is fantastic, but I'd like to take advantage of the dimming feature. Everything was installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the documentation provided. However, there is no information about how to connect the dimmer circuit in the documentation. We watched the video that was provided and emailed customer service several times. In the dimmer circuit, two wires must be spliced into, according to the video and information provided. There are three wires in the fixture I have. The light would not turn on even after following all of the instructions. The factory circuit has been restored, and the light will now only be turned on at full power. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to use the dimmer circuit, which was one of the main reasons I bought this product in the first place.
On the advice of a friend, I purchased 150 watt high bay lights earlier this winter. I'm so happy I did. br>After reviewing my shop plan, Hyperlite returned a layout with recommendations for which lights to use. br>I'm glad I did that because it made a difference in terms of size and placement. The lights are stunning, and they're incredibly simple to set up. br>Now they've released the Tale Series, which includes the option to connect a motion sensor. I was looking for something that would turn on automatically when I entered a store without having to reach for the light switch. I went with the 100 watt option and was not dissatisfied. It's the photo with only one light in it. br>While the shop is still under construction, having good lighting helps. It's 44' X 44' X 16'br>I recommend asking them to look over your shop/garage layout and then following their recommendations; it makes things a lot easier. br>Installing the Tale 100 watt was simple; I just had to plug it in and hang it from an eye bolt. You could hardwire it in, but I have outlets in the ceiling. I chose the 5000 k and am extremely happy with my decision! br>Thank you, Hyperlite, and please continue to make more choices!
Joel.
To begin with, unlike my Hyperlite highbay lights, the power cord did not have a plug on the end of the wire. This feature was useful, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. You can either hardwire or install your own plug, as I did. This fixture was of the same high-quality construction as their highbay lights. I plugged in the light and turned on the switch. Wow. For 85 dollars, you can get 14k lumans of 5k white light. The light was an excellent replacement for my barn's old 240v buzzing, slow-to-warm-up highbay. This was just a test, but I'll be replacing the other three soon. My shop has six Hyperlite highbays that are 150 watts each, and my barn has four 450 watt old school highbays. My barn will now have the same fantastic hyperlite white light that my shop does. Thanks again to Hyperlite for providing some fantastic lighting.
Unboxing the lights revealed that they were solidly constructed and of commercial quality. They were larger and heavier than I anticipated (but not excessively so), so I can assure you that they are built to last. I have not yet had the opportunity to install them, but I just had to try one to see how bright they are. Let me tell you, these lights aren't to be taken lightly! I was astounded by the brightness of this light. The bright white light of 5000K is incredible. I'm looking forward to hanging all eight lights because I'm sure it'll be like daylight once they're all turned on. I am confident that if you purchase these lights, you will not be disappointed. If your system isn't hardwired, you'll need to install a three-prong plug, which is a simple process that can be done for pennies at your local hardware store. There's no reason to be hesitant about purchasing these lights; you won't be disappointed.
This is the way to go if you want to see what you're doing on your bench but your vision isn't the best. Hyperlite is a high-quality product that fits snugly against the ceiling and emits just the right amount of light, depending on the wattage purchased. You can see in my photos that I also have a 200 watt one that is going to a friend. I bought it for him to put in a pole barn so he could see if it provided enough light for him to work on his Peterbilt; I don't think he'll be disappointed, and I certainly won't be. It's nice to be able to see what you're looking at or working on without having to worry about shadows. br>Thank you for producing such a good product. br>Calvin.
One ignited immediately, while the other flickered and died. I gave these lights four stars because I received an after-hours message when I called the customer service number. I didn't leave a message because I planned to call the following day. They called the next morning to see how they could assist me. After I explained the situation and sent them the serial number as well as a photo of the light not working (in which I also included a photo of my meter displaying proper voltage), they said they would send me another as soon as possible. The new light arrived, and all of them, including the others I've since purchased, are working perfectly and according to the specifications.
They are 30*40 *18 and can be found in my shop. br>I am completely enamored with them. I will, however, get the diffusers at some point; I wish I had gone with the 100 rather than the 150 and gotten the diffusers.
I installed this light in the center of my 24'X32' garage ceiling, hung at 8', and it brightly illuminates all but the far corners. I also bought the motion sensor, which installs in seconds in the center of the light. When the garage door opens, it detects movement and turns on the light. It will turn off after 5 seconds of no movement. Delays of up to 5 minutes are possible. It's very simple to set up. You'll need to add a plug to the end of the cord, which you can get at a hardware store and install with just a screwdriver once you've cut the cord to the length you want.
