Almost all housings for 6" machines will fit it. A similar model was manufactured in 1975 and it was very easy to fix and/or update.
Originally, I used flat, pressure springs to retain the lights in my recessed cans. With these adapters, I was able to install the retrofit led lights that used v-type springs in my car.
The odds are against it. A smaller opening than 6 inches would not allow this adapter to attach to the torsion spring tabs on the luminette, so the tab clips would no longer be 180 degrees opposite each other.
I do not believe that Halo ultra thin LED lights will work

In one case, the brackets to install the springs on the new lights were missing from the recessed made a jigsaw puzzle, but it did not look like I wanted it to. Even though I was convinced no one else would notice (probably true), I still kept it to myself. A few days later, I received an email offering "products you may be interested in," so I decided to order I was surprised when I realized they are thicker and stronger than I expected. The process of putting them up took about two minutes. It was pretty easy, I just opened them up a little and put them in the can. I didn't screw them in or use the little adapter included (not sure what it's for). Their refusal to budge did not change anything. I am very impressed with the LED retrofit, it installed without a hitch and is more snug to the ceiling than any of the other lights I have. Excellent.
To install them in the can, I tried screwing them, but it was really challenging, so I just pulled them open a little so they fit tightly then, I placed the LED retrofits in the can It stays in place because I clipped all the parts and pushed them in. Reduces the amount of time and effort needed.
This design can likely be replaced with one that is easier to sell.
I am very impressed with how easy this is Screwing it into the wall doesn't make any sense. You will need to pull the two surfaces apart a little so that they will fit snugly together.
The picture I should have taken for all to see would have been very useful. In this way, I was able to preserve the ceiling without having to demo it to swap from recessed to led lighting. The installation is straightforward.
Installation of this product was extremely easy and allowed the LED fixture to be installed without being replaced with Quantities less than 4 ought to be sold.
For our can lights, these were great for upgrading to a high-quality LED light.
Easy to use. It works like a charm.
