I have installed the Moen Model 7864EWBL and it looks great. It was easy to install, too. In fact, my wife found the Wave Sensor to be a little bit annoying in that, whenever she was cleaning the sink, it was easy to accidentally turn on the water, and, in fact, it was tough to avoid accidentally turning on the water. It does work as advertised, and it is ideal if you have dirty hands and don't want to touch the faucet handle to turn it on. To turn off the sensor when cleaning and turn it back on, all we need to do is turn it off and then back In the user's opinion, the most dislikeable aspect of the faucet is the inability to maintain the spray mode at low water pressure and flow. In order for the water to remain in the spray mode and not return to the stream mode, it must be on a higher pressure and flow. As a result, my wife uses the spray mode to wash dishes and hands with the nozzle within reach while it is still in place in the faucet (not pulled out), and, since it only sprays in high pressure and flow mode, water ends up My solution to this problem was to place a rubber band over the hand toggle switch on the nozzle that holds the spray mode in place at low water pressure and flow. The rubber band is 1/2" wide by about 2" long. The attached picture can be seen in full size. Despite the rubber band on the new faucet looking a little tacky, it works well. Do not know why Moen designed a pressure-sensitive toggle switch instead of just a toggle switch that would stay in the spray or stream mode at whatever water pressure and flow level it is set at.
I really like how this faucet looks. As a result, I had to cover it with tape and no longer use it since it is too sensitive, which bothers me since my phone was upgraded. An option to turn on with your hands free is great on paper. But this is not the right choice unless you have an island with enough excess counter space. It is a bit annoying that when someone leans on the island close to the sink or faucet sensor, the island turns on its own because it was not designed for seating. It would be useful if the manufacturer took note of this for consumers. The extra deep counter island is also a must for the counter island to fit!.
It does not start working at all. The motion sensor gets triggered somehow and then spray runs randomly. My bedroom was filled with water one morning - the faucet was running and no humans or animals were in the room to have triggered the water. These incidents have occurred several times in the past. Whenever we went on an overnight trip, we had to completely turn off the water in the faucet to ensure that there would be no water flowing all day and night while we were away.
My favorite thing about this faucet is the way it looks. I like the overall design (the motion sensor is a bit annoying, as some have noted, as it can trigger easily when cleaning and dusting the issue is that I think the hot & cold are not consistent It is very difficult to get good water pressure thanks to the small diameter of the cold lines.
An AC adapter is not included. This is not the sink you want if you want a working one. No matter whether the sensor is in use or not, it still requires power to run. It comes with battery pack, but you have to buy an AC adapter kit for an additional $100. Crock of sh*t, that is!.
I'm in love with this. I like the way it looks and how it works. As a con, I can only think of how hard it is to turn off the motion sensor. My opinion is that the trick is not an easy one.
My goal was to create something that was sleek and contemporary. need to wave your hand from the left side of the faucet instead of from the front, but you can also turn the water off or on.
It’s hard to imagine how we ever survived without it! I love the convenience of not touching the handle after mixing hamburger! It may be set off by my cat every once in a while, but it has a 60 second timer and shuts off as soon as the timer runs out. It's awesome! We are in love with it!.
