Reviewers who use older versions of the app should not be trusted. This faucet is incredible. I normally do not feel compelled to write reviews for products I have purchased, but this one is awesome so I feel the need to give it 5 stars. One of the common negative features that owners often mention when writing reviews is the necessity to set the water temperature at the control box under the sink in order to use the auto water system. I mention this because Moen has listened to customer reviews and has addressed the Moen faucets with motion sensors come with a grey control box that mounts underneath the sink if you choose an older version. In the older design, the temperature has to be changed at the box in order for it to work automatically. Any Motionsense faucet by Moen that has a black control box comes with a newer version. The water temperature is controlled by the manual water control handle on that version. By using the manual handle, you can set the water temperature where you want it, while the auto-dispensing feature is dispenses water. When the water is running, the handle can be used to adjust it. kudos to Moen for listening to consumers and having updated There is only one negative that I can see, and that is that the manual handle is also controlled by the electronic device underneath As a result, I see it as a negative since even the manually operated handle will not produce water if the black electronic box fails. However I like it, this faucet is great. All three of the toilets in my house are touch-sensitive This faucet has no flush mechanism so I had to have it, especially since I already have all of the Moen Brantford fixtures in my house. You have to remember that, with every use of touchless technology, there will always be some negative nuances, but as the technology advances, it will get better and better, and this faucet is no exception. It is something that I would like to see Moen change, namely that this faucet needs to be mounted with the control handle off to the right side. If you mount it with the handle in back, left or front, it will not work. The reason is because the sensor wiring runs through the gooseneck, but there are designs for wiring that Moen could use to remedy this issue. The dishwasher's manual handle was too low for my dishwasher deck height, so I had to buy a low deck height air gap to make it work. The Motionsense version of this faucet has this issue, but it is only an issue with other reviewers. Remove the restrictor assembly from the faucet when the water pressure doesn't seem high enough, since this can affect the water pressure. My overall impression of this faucet is that it is amazing, and I am very happy with it!.

The price of this faucet is a bit steep, but I absolutely love it. It would be helpful for me to wait at least six months after installation to see if I still like it or if there are any potential issues/problems to identify. There is only one issue that I have encountered to date. It is the lighting in your kitchen that will impact In the example above, if all the lights in our kitchen are on, our kitchen will be very dark. It will happen sometimes that the sensor will trip and run for 10 seconds when all the lights are on when I walk by the faucet. Despite its minor nature, I consider this issue very important. The rest of the day has been great! If they are dirty (after cooking), I love that I just have to wave my hands, and the water will flow down my arms. I give it a 10+++. Our Moen faucet is beautiful, and we are so happy with it! We've had it for a month and are absolutely in love with the brushed chrome finish. The combo is perfect for a "transitional" kitchen - modern, yet traditional at the same time. The motion sensor feature is especially appealing to us. You have probably ever had gunky chicken hands after cooking, but you didn't want to germ up the faucet handle, so you turned the water on with your elbows when you were cooking? This is me! I've taken care of the family kitchen more than a million times. While this product initially seemed like an ideal solution, I was hesitant to make the purchase because several reviews claimed the sensor was annoying or too sensitive. We have not experienced this with the system so far. You should check it out. To begin with, you'll just have to get accustomed to it. My kitchen was undergoing a big remodel when I bought this faucet. I thought it was the perfect solution for someone who cooks frequently. The sensor would turn it on if I was in the vicinity, which led me to discover that it is not completely perfect. I turned it on because the cats threw me a bone. In the Pacific Northwest, we are prone to storms and power outages, and who knew that when the power goes out, the water does too. Then, less than a year after installation, it started switching on and off on its own, running for extended periods of time and then shutting down. My septic system would have filled up, which is a good thing since I'm not on one. While I was at work, I don't know how often it ran. My company will contact Moen for a refund or replacement with another product. You should be able to turn off the sensor and still use the product. There will not be a replacement for this Taking the lessons learned to heart. It can sometimes be too cool for its own good.
