The term "Universal" is not quite accurate
3/5

The Moen side sprayer is called a "universal side sprayer," but it is not compatible with older Moen kitchen faucets. **** YOU MAY NEED AN ADAPTER ****
It might be time for a new faucet if yours still has the old one. Hose will not work with this faucet unless you use an adapter. Threaded male fitting on the faucet end of the hose will work with this. There are many hardware stores where you can get it, so you don't have to worry about finding it. An adapter to convert 1/4" to 1/8" and a piece of Teflon thread tape are needed. This transforms the 1/4" female thread on the sprayer into 1/8" female threads on the faucet, allowing you to connect the sprayer to the The deep socket wrench will fit the new fitting, allowing it to be installed easily.

I think the wife ordered exactly what she wanted
5/5

There is nothing like the water we have in our house. It is lovely and hard. There is a salt-free water softener in place that keeps the interior of steel pipes looking good, but other than that, very little. Water softener that uses salt is not allowed by wife. As a result, our water is safe to drink Clogged by water borne minerals, mechanical devices that are in contact with water become useless after a while. We have four core values The spray nozzle on my apartment was clogged with minerals and stuck to on. This is a terrible inconvenience. With the purchase of this universal side sprayer, exchange of the old sprayer unit for the new one, and our sprayer is good to go again. The operation takes place during the daytime. It was just in time for this newly installed sprayer to clog, so I bought a second new sprayer. My handiness makes me very good when it comes to screwing on and taking off simple things. My excitement over replacing the second sprayer with a third one and ordering a fourth is almost as high as the day I get the third sprayer and order the It will take me a long time to make sense of it, but I will feel truly prescient then.

The result I hoped for was not to be
3/5

The side sprayer was purchased to replace an existing side sprayer that uses this type of fitting, for a Moen set in the simple, but there is one issue I encounter with every use of the sprayer It diverges, which means there is a huge sputter area and a small spray area. Therefore, the sprayer is little help when it comes to rinsing food off dishes (weak pressure compared to my prior sprayer), and fine-tuning the aiming is nearly impossible because the spray area is so large (insufficient when cleaning edges of sinks). In the hand, the button press is cheap and the nickel coating is almost plastic-like, with a very shiny surface Comparing this sprayer to my prior one, it looks slightly different, though you may have had the brushed nickel before. In my opinion, I thought the sprayer would provide better pressure and spraying quality There are orifices designed specifically for this purpose. As I have had better luck with other Moen items in the past, I will try again when it is time to replace this item. Although I'm keeping this one because it's already here and installed, I won't be telling anyone to get one I'll wait until things are a little better.

The installation is straightforward since it is a direct replacement
4/5

It was easy to replace the faucet since the original had the quick disconnect feature on it. However, I had to remove a small piece of plastic guard before I could install the new one. It was my own fault for not checking everything carefully before deciding to move forward. It might be a good idea to print a brightly colored tag saying "Remove This Before Installing Fool" for people like me. There are only a couple of legitimate complaints the hose has quite a bit of memory to it and when the sprayer is lifted from its place, undersink fixtures and the garbage disposal tend to get snagged. When the sink under your sink is as crowded as mine is, it can help to relax the memory by using hot water, but the quick disconnect and sprayer head must be rotated to find the least troublesome spot.

The Moen Caldwell faucet is compatible with this device
5/5

Replaced my Moen Caldwell faucet that was 18 months old in just a few minutes The Duralock system that comes with this is compatible with the other quick lock system, Hydrolock, the sprayers are attached to. Even so, I'd rather have the conventional screw on new hose for $5 instead but I'm sure Moen caters to DIY types, and this is much easier to install than a screw on hose in a cramped area behind the It'll probably be worth my time to look into that $18 offer, but the hardware store might not want to deal with customer issues anymore, so I guess Moen has better chances of getting placed in stores if they offer a foolproof system that earns more profit for the retailer. Compared to my old one, this one has a double-slot door A section of the hose tore just below the sprayer and the outer layer. In 18 months, it happened again, but this time the hose is brown, so I think it must be old stock or defective to have died so much and torn with easy handling. In case I need to reorder this part in 2021, I tacked a part of the package with the part number under the sink. Are the lifetime warranty and receipt still there?.

I bought this product to replace my damaged Moen sprayer and it was very simple to install
4/5

The sink I have allows me to spray water from both sides. The two-day event is being held for the second time The same sprayer died in the exact same My first attempt at a replacement sprayer was to buy another full set for hundreds of dollars. I purchased another one the very next time it died. It wasn't like I was so stupid this time. This is what I found after searching around. I was amazed at how smoothly it worked. In order to replace the sprayer, you had to pop out the old one and plug in the new Neither the replacement base nor adapters that came with the sprayer fit into the existing base, so I didn't even need the new sprayer's base. Even so, it's interesting that they included them to show how the repair scenarios vary. The only issue I have is that the hose is just as cheap as the original, so at some point it will probably also fail. In the past, these were made out of metal mesh. There's no good reason why they no longer do so. Those sounds interesting, so I'll check them out. While I'm waiting, I'm glad I found this temporarily fix and it was extremely.

If you are buying a Moen product, be sure to check its lifetime warranty
3/5

A Moen universal side sprayer comes with my faucet. The sprayer is part of the Moen 179108 Universal Side Sprayer, Chrome. Neither it nor the Moen replacement lasted more than a year. As the Moen sprayer is proprietary, the only way to use it with a universal faucet would be to splice the hose. I have done this and it lasted over a year. Since the price has come down, I didn't want to go through all The update for Dec 2020 is twice as long as the last one I am 24 months old. I am going to splice the hose again and to go back to the discount generic sprayer since it will last four times as long and I don't really want to crawl A brief update! I found out that Moen's faucets were covered by a lifetime warranty after having to change this thing for 4 times. Therefore Moen is going to provide the replacement sprayers free of charge from now on.
