Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell me if Delta has yet to make a longer screw to use with farmhouse fireclay sinks?

I am grateful for your question. Thank you for your interest. Let me know how I can be of assistance to There is a Delta 72010-series plane that is a 72010. As of right now, there are no longer screws available for CZ flange and strainer. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us back. I wish you the best, Skyler

Is it possible to remove the plastic flange from ?

The "flange" is not supposed to come off, is it? Anyhow, I have installed (3) three of these, and as of today, no flange has detached on its own. Having a visitor stay in our home when we were traveling for many months was the only issue I had. Apparently there was a clog in the drain and instead of opening the plastic pipes under the sink, they used a metal tool that damaged the plastic seat that holds the basket. The leak did not occur, but it caused the basket to become leaky after the seat was destroyed. It was just a matter of replacing the entire Everything is fine. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they look, even after using them for several years. I would buy

It's not as bad as it used to be, but still better now
4/5

The upper visible parts are coated brass and have a good quality coating on them, as others have stated. Under the sink, the lower housing and nut are made from plastic, which is durable in nature and should last a long time. Despite the fact that the tailpiece should be checked every six to eight months, there is no way to tune up the lower plastic nut which holds the tailpiece (purchased separately). A spring-loaded nut may become loose over time due to exposure to hot water since plastic expands or contracts more than metal. Once it's installed, check its tightness a few months after it's been installed, and tighten it if necessary. Update 12/9/18
There is a gap with the design/material of the upper basket strainer as mentioned by others. In this case, the spring loaded ball bearing on the lower post is supposed to seal the drain or to allow the water to drain, depending on whether the basket is kept up or if it is pushed down to block In this situation, the ball bearing will rust and dislodge. As a result, the basket will only remain closed. Every time I have experienced this, I have contacted Delta and they have sent a replacement. Earlier this year, I installed an original unit in 2016, and I am on my 5th or 6th replacement basket, and I am currently in need of a new one. I wrote Delta about this almost two years ago and asked why they hadn't used a nonferrous ball bearing and why this hasn't been done yet is a mystery. There is no economic reason to upgrade to better ball bearings. **Update 12/31/** I received a warranty replacement of this basket about 3 weeks ago and it appears Delta has addressed the rusting issue with the ball bearings. During the installation of the preceding units, we noticed signs of rust after just one week, but the new ones show no signs of rust. As a replacement for the old bearing, Delta may have used a stainless steel.

Delta faucets do not match this shower head
3/5

basket is marked "champagne bronze," which is the same name as coordinating Delta Trinsic pulls, this basket is not There is no match for the colors on the down kitchen faucet. Baskets are much lighter than the baskets in the photo. Despite the obvious colors difference, both look good in white sinks. I like the way the basket itself works so far. It closes easily with a push and pops back up easily with a second push. On the basis of other comments and the colour, I'm left wondering if it is a Delta genuine part. Because the flange has to be permanently attached to the plumbing, you cannot drop it in at the last minute, and I did not want to hold up finishing my kitchen by returning this part and ordering another one.

Works well for a farm sink, but not for a bathroom My Delta Trinsic faucet matches this perfectly, so I ordered it for it
3/5

THEN AGAIN. My kitchen is being remodeled and a farm sink will be used. There is no way this will The Delta company told me it doesn't sell a longer screw that can accommodate the thickness of a farm sink, so my contractor and I contacted them directly. Although not horrible since only a bit of the screw shows, the poor planning on Delta's part was shocking. The drain was made to accommodate stainless sinks, but it appears that it did not. I have a proposal for Delta Make the nozzle 1/2 inch longer, and it will be able to.

The Delta Strainer once was a good product
3/5

It is far superior to those that you can buy at a local home improvement store. Installed easily, though lining up a drain from the sink disposal unit was a challenge thanks to its taller size. It also surprises me that plastic is used instead of metal for the under-sides of the containers A sink attachment cone, which seems sturdy enough and will not corrode even if the sink is The revision is In less than a month, a ball bearing intended to hold the strainer in either the open or closed position began to rust. That is, it is not stainless steel as other parts of the drain, so electrolytic action is causing the bal to corrode. Amazon allowed me to return or replace products for a short time, but I did not discover this. Literally down the drain $40. I recommend getting in touch with the manufacturer.

Buying is not a good idea
3/5

There is no way to keep water in the stopper. There is too little room in the flange for a stopper. Fits tight enough to hold water, but isn't snug enough to hold chemicals. There is no Delta name on the flange. It is cheaper and more convenient to buy a non-name model than to pay $64 for one that won't There will be an occurrence like this in the future. There was a similar issue with another customer.

I do not think it's a Delta copycat, but it almost looks like one
3/5

Renovations have just been completed in the kitchen. In the end, my Delta touch faucet was one of the last things to be installed. On most every piece of equipment we purchased, we went with a higher end. first glance, the faucet looked great and the strainer had an attractive design. In my opinion, the quality of the product (initial impression) was very It was pointed out to us by our plumber that the drain connection was made out of What I was expecting from a company like Delta was not what I got. Quite honestly, the warranty is great, but if the warranty requires you to pay a significant amount of money to repair or replace a part, does the warranty serve any purpose at all? As the plumber filled it up with potty, we are all hoping for the best. The new flange seems so thin it might be a danger. I would guess that the odds of seeing my plumber again in the next year are pretty high if I were a gambler. But then, I am a gambler too. This Delta strainer was installed by the guy I let install it. If this product interests you, I hope my opinions will lead you in the right direction. I'm not sure how to grade it, but I'd give it 3 stars. I won't repurchase this item. I needed it installed at the time, and I wasn't going to wait and incur the cost of having to get it installed when I bought it in the first place. Because the product has not failed to meet my expectations, I cannot rate it five stars They have proven themselves to be reliable. In a year's time, I will make sure to update this.

This is a bold and rugged design
5/5

The PVC bottom and the length make it longer than a standard sink flange. It works well, has a great finish, and is made of PVC. The stopper holds water very well in the sink, and it is a pull-string type. Having a longer flange under your sink will require new plumbing beneath your sink because, as mentioned above, it is longer than This type of plastic is heavy-duty, and I have never had a problem after using it for roughly six months. Since the plumbing under my sinks is all PVC, I have no problem using a sink flange that is made of Once the Delta flange is installed in your sink, you are only left with the beautiful finish. flange I bought from this company comes with a lifetime warranty, and I have used delta's lifetime warranty for faucets and never had a problem with the service, no questions asked, and replacement parts shipped without delay. Doing business with this company has been a pleasure.
