An expansion bolt will make things much easier for you if you use one during installation on top. If visitors are not accustomed to the crash you cause if you don't lower the seat and/or lid manually, this toilet seat and lid will be the HEAVIEST I've ever experienced. I highly recommend that the visitors manually lower the seat and/or lid before dropping it. As part of the extra money we invested, the seat has been upgraded to a self-contained suite This seat and lid were quiet drop seats from American Standard. For the record, the seat worked well.

The seats are made from something that isn't strong enough to span between the hinge and support because both of them broke halfway between the hinge and support after less than two months of use. The first one broke after 8 months and the second fractured after less than two A toilet seat in the past 50 years has not been damaged by two people who are not heavy enough to do so. The original review was as follows I find this to be very The fitting fits very well with the American Standard toilet. I've never owned a seat like this before, and it is much nicer than anything else I have ever had. Careful not to slam it down, though, since it is very heavy and will fall if you.

The heavy seat cover fell on my fingers when I attempted to lower the seat. Yes, it hurt. The seating problem is that it's too low in the middle when you sit half-way You have to watch the cover if it moves downward if the cover goes all the way down. Tried to put some WD-40 on it. My first 40 worked for only a short time, but after that there was no joy. Hinges can't be loosen by anything I can see. Having put a sign on the wall with the words "WATCH OUT FOR FALLING SEAT COVER" I have decided to post a warning.

In fact, four more had been ordered because of the original purchase's success, and two of the four boxes had been opened upon arrival. I have no complaints. There is no sign the item had previously been used, but considering the nature of the product, it should be insured by Amazon before it is sent to the customer. Selling bare rolls of TP is the equivalent of selling bare rolls of paper towel. Apart from that, the product is fantastic, and it is well worth the money spent. I was shocked that it was all I could get.

When it is delivered, it will be When you clean your bathroom with bleach or bleach alternatives weekly, you will notice that after a few weeks, the smooth "shiny" coat will start going down. The seat and cover on this seat need to be replaced about every three years Since the cleaning products wear down the paint, the paint needs to be replaced after 4 months.

Never in my life has a toilet seat needed to be replaced so rapidly. There is no other way to contact this company's customer service than through The toilet seat on this model is not recommended.

This is about average when it comes to toilet seats. Despite the fact that I bought the same brand as last time (I bought that brand again), it fit my toilet quite well and installation was simple (all I needed was I did not need to read the directions because I already knew how to make it. I chose this color because it matches a standard white toilet well. It was packaged and included all of the parts necessary for installation (bolts, etc. ), and the product arrived in good shape (no concerns A problem with the lid hinges is that they are not quite as free-flowing as they should be It needs time to loosen up somewhat as it does move as my old seat did, but I expect that to happen with time. The lid is just the right weight for me (I live alone, so I don't lift it or anything). This is painted wood, so please note that. After a few years, I expect to have to buy a new one. This particular American Standard painted wood seat begins to flake off the paint after a couple of years (my last one was also one of these). Would the contamination in the water supply be the cause of the paint eating? when I The only thing you should use is soapy water. for under twenty dollars, the need to buy a new one in two years is Although I would have liked the finish to be a little hardier, for the price I paid I am willing to replace it periodically.

I was disappointed with the quality of the seat, but the lid came with a chip out of the paint If I used white out to hide it, it won't last too long. (Sending it back for another isn't an option yet since I've already installed it and noticed it after I threw the old one away). There is a lot of weight to the seat It was necessary to use WD-40 to loosen up the hinge in order to prevent the lid from falling when the seat was lowered (sticking hinges).
