After measuring the tub, I found it to be 60 inches long. There is no rhyme or reason to the 65 dimension. 61 inches is the ideal size for the tub that I bought. I wish you all the best.

I was able to return the cracked tub to Amazon thanks to an arrangement for pick up from Amazon. In addition, I found that Home Depot was selling this tub for less money than I expected. Buying a home at Home Depot cost me $547. It's a happy accident that the tub was cracked when I bought it, as it was a lot more expensive than the Home Depot price. Make sure you only use clear water to run the jets. When you have finished using the jets, you should only use soaps and salts.

My guess is that person didn't read the instructions because once you open them up fully you can really feel their power! Being short people, the tub is just the right length for us, but taller people might have a hard time fitting into it. Those are some photos I took after we used the tub for the first few time. Notice how when we used it pieces of plastic came off the jets, so we used the kitchen strainer thing to catch them. Certainly, it is plastic not paper on that strainer. Other than that, though, it is a lovely bathtub. That's why I am glad we bought the heater at the same time. The water came out of the faucet much warmer than when it came out of the filter. The overflow cover leaks a little bit when it is full if I fill it up. I'm going to try and buy a longer faucet if possible.
A recent renovation to my bathroom made me fall in love with this. I am 5'5" tall and have a medium build, so it is the perfect size for me. This tub is wonderful and the price is better than Hone Depot. However, saving a little money by buying from Amazon over Hone Depot was not worth the sacrifice. Having the customer's interest at heart and being cheap about not delivering on time as stated in the purchase is an act of negligence by Amazon. In this case, the extra $300 was used for the expense of having a plumber on hand to install the system. It would not be a purchase I would make.
From the day I moved out of my last house, every time I saw one I wanted it. I prefer this tub to my last one because it fits nicely in my small bathroom, but it's a little more inefficient. However, it is still very nice. Usually the on/off switch is behind the user in the tub, but I would prefer it to be in front of them.
