There was a rose gold one rather than a brass one that I received. Keeping it under a brown sink with gold accents looks fine, but under a white sink or for someone with hypercritical eyes, it will obviously be more noticeable.

A cheap ring that came with the pedestal and bowl had to be replaced. Two years ago, it lasted between two and three years.

Compared to the old one, this one is so much more impressive. There was just no point in keeping the old one. The seal on the top where it meets the bowl seems to be much more substantial on this one and I like how it is covered in rubber. A simple o- was all that was wrong with the old one I wore it.

There's nothing to worry about. It was a different one I bought the other. Compared to the other, it appeared to be thicker and taller. The most likely outcome is I'll be returning it.
