According to the instructions, this fixture must be mounted on a concrete wall, as there are 2 holes centered exactly 5 inches apart. In the description, I do not recall seeing that. Rather than buy a mount, I fabricated my own. My whiteboard measures 1 1/2 inches thick and it was notched and screwed to the vertical studs from the back. On the back side I screwed two 3 inch bolts centered five inches apart and it's very sturdy. Besides that, it's simply a matter of finding the center half of both height and Unfortunately, I am on vacation, otherwise I would have added

According to the instructions, the unit is only intended for use on concrete walls, something that is not If you want to frame a wood picture, you will need a mount board. An upgrade from a 1/2 inch x 3 inch bolt to 1/2 inch x 3 inch long hex bolts was added to the 1 1/2 white board (two 1x6's glued together. Countersink the 3 inch bolts through the back of the board, facing toward the sink, located exactly 5 inches apart, then attach the board to the wall studs. In order for the mounts to go on, I cut notches in the studs.
