Here's a quick guide to getting things set up. This is something that my wife and I both enjoy. It has a pleasing appearance (to us), appears to be well-made, and functions flawlessly. For those who enjoy doing things themselves: It was simple to set up for me. br>br>I ran into a minor problem during installation that was entirely my fault, but I'm mentioning it here to prevent others from making the same mistake. There are two different ways to fasten it: (1) The main tube's bottom is threaded, and there's a plate with a 1 3/8 inch threaded hole. (2) There are two smaller threaded holes on the plate for two bolts that are tightened after the main tube is tightened. Those two bolts are slotted for a Phillips screw driver, and the installation instructions only mention tightening them with a Phillips screw driver. The bolt heads are also hex-shaped to allow for tightening with a wrench. I didn't realize the bolts could be tightened with a wrench at first, so I threw up trying to tighten them with Phillips screw drivers. Whatever you want it to be: long, short, offset, whatever you want it to be. I could only reach the bolts at full arm's length because they were in an awkward tight spot. While doing so, I noticed light refracting off a flat surface on the bolt head and realized they had wrench-like features. Hexagonal hexagonal hexagonal he After that, I used a small quarter-inch wrench to finish tightening them. An 8 mm socket, an inch ratchet, and a short extension br>br>The installation manual and spec sheet can be found on the Kraus USA website, though finding them took some time. I'd include links to them, but as I recently discovered, this is against Amazon's review submission guidelines.
When we updated our counters and sinks a year ago, we purchased two of these faucets. They are gleaming and bright, do not leak, are easy to clean, and have a nice appearance. The vessel sinks and faucets were installed by a plumber we hired at the time. We're redoing another bathroom this year, and we've already bought two more. My husband chose to do the installation himself, and it went off without a hitch. These faucets are designed specifically for vessel sinks and are tall.
Pros: Installing it was a breeze.
Cons: None. br>Final Thoughts: This faucet has exceeded our expectations. We bought two a year ago, and they have never leaked or caused any issues. They're simple enough to put in that we did it (OK, he did it while I held the flashlight). ) the next two on our own.
I think this is a nice piece of equipment, but the first faucet I ordered caused me some problems. This faucet was ordered to go with a vesel sink in a powder room that was being built. I ordered it from Amazon and had it installed by a plumber about three weeks later. We then discovered that the handle had an internal leak, and water was spraying all over the counter. Amazon did an excellent job of replacing the faucet at no cost, and the second one worked perfectly. When I went to order the second one, I noticed that the unit's price had dropped by $40. I contacted Amazon, but they refused to give me a refund due to the price reduction. I had to pay the plumber twice to come out and install these in my house. Sure, I could have installed this myself, but when a house is being built, the builder hires all of the contractors, so I didn't have much of a say. It's not a bad faucet; it fits well and has a simple design.
We bought three faucets that were very similar for our new vacation rental so we could compare them side by side to see which one would work best with our Sonoma Cast Stone vessel sink. We wanted every detail to be perfect, and we couldn't tell unless we saw the pictures or measurements in person. br>br>I photographed all three and combined them for you so that anyone else in a similar situation can compare them. br>br>Quality br>br>Quality br>br>Quality br> They were all in a good mood. The finish was nearly identical on all three, and the mechanism's operation appeared to be similar as well. We decided on the Kraus because it had the most sink projection. We needed one with the longest arm because the rim of our concrete sink is quite thick, so we didn't want any splashing. If that wasn't an issue, any of these faucets would have been a good choice. br>br>If you want to see more of our vacation rental, go to the following three faucets:

Water flows smoothly out of the faucet when it is turned on. The nickel finish, on the other hand, is nearly impossible to keep spot-free, so I don't recommend it. Furthermore, the spout on the faucet we received is slightly crooked, causing the water to flow in an irregular pattern. The return period has expired because it took us six months to find someone to install it. Ah well.
The faucet is a deep, almost black oil-rubbed bronze. It looks fantastic and can be combined with black lights and darker bronze towel bars if desired. The faucet valve hasn't leaked a drop in a month of use, and the supply lines are extra long.
I'm a kraus snob who only buys Kraus sinks and faucets because I always know what I'm getting in terms of quality and durability. br>Thank you, Kraus, for consistently delivering a SOLID product.
Installing and cleaning the unit is a breeze. These have a really nice look to them. The facets appear to be of higher quality than the Delta brand facets I replaced previously. It took me about an hour to replace my old facets with these (set of 2), which took about an hour. It may take others who aren't as skilled with tools and DIY projects twice as long as it took me.
