Solid Metal Construction: The pop-up drain stopper is made of brass and type 304 premium grade stainless steel, which resists rust and corrosion in humid environments.

Brushed Brass Finish: Matte brushed brass finish with a combination of clean, refined lines for a high-end style, rather than a mirror-like shining finish or a champagne gold finish.

Questions & Answers

I have a vessel sink with a drain hole of 1 1/2". Is it going to fit?

The depth of my sinkhole is precisely 1. This drain is not compatible with a 5 inch diameter. The post specifies that the size of the hole must be at least one. 6 inches. This appears to be the case.

What is the distinction between types A and B?

The size difference, according to the specifications, is: overall length of A is 7 23/32" and B is 8 7/8" (tailpiece length is longer), upper drain length of A is 2 9/16" and B is 3 7/8" (Max countertop height). 2" depth of sink). Type A has an inset drain stopper, while type B is top flush, according to the photo. Style B Oil Rubbed Bronze is the one I have.

My sink is made of thin copper. Is it true that the threads go all the way up to the top?

It doesn't work like that at all. Without the thread, it measures around 1 cm. Enough for a standard ceramic sink, but not for a copper sink. However, I believe that a large flat washer will suffice in assisting you in installing them. You might also want to look for a broader round nut. Best wishes for a successful installation.

Is this drain compatible with a sink that has a 1? Is that a 5" drain?

One is required according to the specifications. If you can enlarge the hole slightly with a rasp/file, you should be fine.

Easy to set up, pleasing results, and simple to use
5/5

It was easy to set up. Making the switch to a pop-up shop The top drain from our old style was an unexpected surprise; we were really only looking for something to match our new faucet when we bought it, so we didn't pay attention to the drain style. The old lift rod drain is a thing of the past for us. The dome rapidly sheds water droplets (as seen in the video). This drain is a good match for the oil-based drain. The BWE Waterfall Spout comes in a rubbed bronze finish.

Non- stainless steel with magnetic properties This KES vessel drain is made of 100% non-corrosive material
5/5

Materials that are magnetic but do not contain iron. It was made of steel, according to someone I heard. Yes. As advertised, they're all made with brass parts (nuts/lockrings) and 304 type stainless steel tubing, which is definitely steel and doesn't rust. My car exhaust is 304 stainless, and ripping through salty winter puddles in NJ has done nothing to it after 5 years. Please do not use wrenches or pliers on the pipes because the tubing wall thickness is on the thin side. Except for the locknut, which is only used to tighten it up, there is no reason to do so. It depends on the height of your home's trap and drain if you need to cut the bottom pipe. Would you rather it be too short, or would you rather it be too long? Almost every plumbing hardware supplier does this on purpose. It appears to be in good condition and appears to be in good working order. In comparison to the overpriced units sold at the Rosarito Pabellon Home Depot in Mexico, I'll see how long it lasts. I believe the KES will outlast them for less than half the price and has a better appearance. The KES walls are 60%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200%-200% 100% thicker than the Mexican Home Depot replacement and took a long time to saw through it took a long time to saw it through it took a long time to saw it through it The chrome plating on this item is fantastic! (The one I replaced could be crushed with your fingers/hand, it's trash. ) The brass colored stopper pieces could be pot metal (zinc/aluminum) coated in brass color, but I can't be sure without cutting them open with a saw. Brass and pot metal are both non-ferrous metals. magnetic. I only smeared a thin layer of 100% Silicone, 10- On the upper two silicone washers, use GE Kitchen and Bath sealant, which is mold resistant and lasts for a year. Only in the areas where they come into contact with the glass vessel bowl - not the bottom of the washer that sits on the counter/base You have complete control over this. Make sure the washers are as centered as possible by sight and feel, then slowly lower the bowl onto the washer with both arms and hands. If you really want to be perfect, use a level across the bowl, but chances are it won't be level anyway! Oh, and the standard PTFE teflon (white) tape on the threaded tube's end. Because my other rolls of tape were stolen, I had to use Oatey gray colored tape. Also, the gray matches the finish better.

The drain pipe is made of steel rather than copper or brass - Leaks - Avoid
3/5

The pop- The up-stopper drain is attractive, and it appears to be in good working order now that it has been installed. br>My issue is that I've had a lot of trouble getting a leak-free environment. The included drain pipe section and the stopper assembly can be connected without restriction. The design is very low-cost. That's what you get when you buy Chinese goods! br>In order to get a leak-free seal, I had to use RTV sealant. Between the stopper assembly and the drain pipe, there is a free joint. br>I had to cut an inch off the bottom end of the drain pipe for my bathroom sink situation, and I discovered it was copper-based. Not brass, but plated steel. br>So, in a few years, probably after the 3-year mark, When the one-year warranty expires, it will rust. br>I am a seasoned amateur plumber, and the leaks I encountered were due to design flaws. br>I'm going to give you a one-star rating. Because the drain pipe is steel rather than brass, it receives a one-star rating.

I am very happy
5/5

I bought a bathroom faucet with a pop-up drain that looked very similar to this one. I gave up after about four attempts at installing this pop-up drain that resulted in leaks. The parts, particularly the gaskets, appeared to be of low quality, and the moment I attempted to install them and failed, they were effectively ruined. I came across this nearly identical pop up drain and could tell right away that the parts were much more substantial and, more importantly, the instructions were crystal clear. There was no guesswork involved in determining which part was which and where it went. After 5 minutes and one failed attempt, I finally gave my wife a complete sink. It has made both of us very happy. This book comes highly recommended.

Installation is simple and straightforward
5/5

I didn't need any additional equipment. This item was an excellent substitute for my sink! I didn't need to use plumber's putty or any other device to install this; instead, I used the tools I already had at home (basic tools found in most homes), and I'm extremely pleased with the results. I'm thinking about getting another one for the other sink because it gets stuck when I press the drain down to catch the water. Plus, the materials appear to be 100 times more durable than the one I pulled out! Thank you so much, Kes! Made. Also pleased is my wife! WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR. The reason for the negative reviews is that people bought the wrong type of vessel plunger for their sinks; this is a protruding type of vessel plunger that is made primarily for counter top bowl styles sinks like the one I pictured; most sinks are traditional recessed sinks that are within the counter tops, so you might want to look into flush mount vessel types.

METAL IS THE ENTIRE CONSTRUCTION! Excellent workmanship
4/5

When this thing arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was constructed of high-quality materials and was well-made. It's actually a lot nicer than the picture suggests; I mounted mine in a hand-hammered copper sink that was only about 1/8 inch thick metal and it worked perfectly. It can also be installed on a sink that is much thicker, such as porcelain. The push- With authority, the button drain stop clicks. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because, as others have noted, it sticks up just a smidgeon above the bottom of the sink, allowing a small amount of water to remain around the drain after the majority of the water has drained away. NOTE: PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTINUING. This isn't due to the product's design; rather, it's due to the fact that I and others installed it in a sink with insufficient lip at the bottom to drop this thing down below the water drain level. It's because of the sink I chose, not because of this product, which is crucial to understand. So, if you have a regular sink, this will work even better than mine did.
